terrible finish from EE, 5th & 6th both slowed up - first four had a clear gap.

1 min down on Saxo, Sanchez will lose nearly 2 mins today on someone.

SBS 25.16 seems to be about 40 sec from estimated stage time, so accepted in regards to its definately not a TTT team, even thos they often win the TTT and Riis focused on TT guyes like vandevelde / zabrisky and down that road, som years back.

What's with Contador having a different helmet fro the rest of Saxo?

Under contract with Giro, so he wears their helmet and sunglasses for the remainder of the year. Rest of the team is with Specialized for helmets and shoes, and Zero rh+ for sunglasses.

VCD up to level with EE by 2nd point, made up some ground.

Given how Euskatel finished, Vacansoleil should finish above them.

I am seriously surprised (in a positive way) by SBS in this TTT given how they looked yesterday. A real team effort where they hold Alberto within time losses (if any?) from yesterday. Very good.

Just imagine Larsson in it aswell.

First part is pretty easy , it's all about the second part in which the wind is playing a significant role. We'll see someone at 55+ winning I guess.

Everyone has said no big time differences today. I think we are and will see some bigger splits than expected eactly because of the sorter distance. The teams who are able to take much shorter turns on the front will do much better. Some have not figured that out yet.

AG2R still with their full quota at checkpoint 2.

Vacansoleil home comfortably ahead of Euskatel - all 9 within 30 yards.

Easkaltel did a major ****-up in part 2 , seeing Vacansoleil riding it will really be decided there . Poor Samu, but maybe they'll let him go and let him get a stage win.

If there really is a bit of headwind at the home strech, then I seriusly doubt we will get much more than 55-56, and 60-65 sounds insane.

Euskatel really had a poor second half, AG2R have left ahead of them too now, won't be within 30 secs of Saxo though.
