The Schleks has so far done nothing in this Tour and Andy even finished the first stage at the same time as Contador but still they got almost a 2 min advantage over Contador. I really hope anyone but Andy (and Wiggins) will win this Tour. How is it possible that two GC-guy doesnt do any work at a ITT? Yes, it is a team competition but still you want the best guy to win...

+1

Looking at Andy today i would say no. He looked awful and probably needs 3-4 minutes come the 20th stage.

Makes you realise that AS would have been nothing some 15-20 years back when we had 60 kilometers against the watch.

+1. Still nothing, really. Nothing yet, anyway.

Thor will wear the polka-dot, rainbow, yellow and green jersey in this tour. Surely the first time this has been done.

Or you could take a guy that actually lasts 3 weeks. Why would you take someone just for the TTT? That would be just stupid.

I was just asking, I'm not even a BMC fan. Phinney is a top time trial guy and Cadel has lost by some small margins. Giving him every little second seemed like a decent strategy.

Problem for Evans is how does he control Contador from here?

Chase or let him go....

he has to chase because when Alberto goes andy goes so he has to and he'll crack trying to follow them

exactly..in fact, what can anyone do (even leotard) to control him if he and saxo put the hammer down before the last climb? he showed in the giro that he attacks when he wants now (without bruynel holding him) even at more than 30 km to go if needed. if frank loses contact (navarro can do it, obviously he will blown himself in the process) and contador attacks (if he can) from far, what will andy or evans do? yell at him? calling him coward because he is running away from him? he will let him and wait for frank or he will burn himself. and conti even if weaker is stronger in the flat than andy and stronger in the mountains than cadel.

It would have been for a team like Garmin or maybe HTC, but considering BMC truly believe Evans can win the tour gaining 5-10 seconds in the TTT is not worth being light one helper in the final week.

Thor only wore the Polka Dot because Gilbert was in yellow and Evans in Green.

Thor/Gilbert swap jerseys tomorrow

I don't want ACF on here now. His parade of BMC beating Rabobank is too much to handle.

Not to mention he will disregard the wind factor

Ah yes, because you'd never be unsufferable if it was Rabo who came 1st?

Garmin started before Rabobank too, so can't use excuses here.

Anyways 2nd year in a row there's been a World Champion in yellow!
