The Columbia rider towards the front looked like Eisel, Cavendish was towards the back just before the cobbles, find it hard he would have been able to work his way up front through it.

I think Cav is there, Renshaw got him back just before the cobblestones. Petacchi is still there too. And i think i saw Freire at the end.

Okay.... Versus coverage absolutely blows. All commercials and little racing.
Amen. P&P haven't said anything annoying and it STILL sucks. They break from commercials to show a "feature" on their sponsors product during coverage. Thankfully I finally got Eurosport to work.

Belgium commentator said that was Eisel. I kinda trusts them over any other commentator.

I might have read Levi's quote differently.

I thought he was saying that if the teams had more information about where riders were, they might have been aggressive rather then waiting for people. If everyone knew Spartacus was trying to get them to hold up because the Schlecks were minutes behind the big group with the fallen contenders chasing the lead chase group... maybe teams wouldn't have been so accomodating of his "ride easy" idea.

There might be some truth to that... I don't know.

I agree -- that's how I understood it as well. People will always behave conservatively when they don't have any information. Do no harm, and all that.
