What the hell kind of tactical genius is Johan to assign Levi (of all people) to "keep an eye on Vinokourov"?

What the hell does Johan propose for Levi to do, should the necessity arise for Vino to need controlling? He can't follow a full-on Vino attack. He certainly can't keep Vino from throwing elbows at RSH domestiques like in Crit.Int. Is Levi supposed to try to steal Vino's bottle? Radio back to Johan that Vino is being a bad boy? What? :D :p

"Look after him" is right. Levi will be watching while Vino disappears up the road in a cloud of dust.

That is hilarious. The guy is mental.

Oh man, some people here are blind as to what's going on. How can you possibly say that Contador wants yellow knowing how "thin" Astana is? I mean, the Kazhak team does not have the human resources to "hold" the yellow, and neither does Alberto's ego. I mean, it doesn't take a genius.

What will most likely happen is that Contador will try to put some time on Andy. In a manner reminiscent of Arcalis 2009. That's all.

And, by the way, neither Andy nor Contador are worried about Menchov, Cadel or Basso. These three will be done by the time they get to the Pyrenees.

I know comentators want to make this an "epic" race but... seeing Andy's WTF face, or Alberto's, every time they get asked about being worried about Cadel or Basso or Lance is just priceless. I mean these two have to be thinking that the commentators have no idea about cycling whatsoever.

im clearly joking

and the guy said - "vino should win this"

That means he sees P( Vino wins) > P (Vino doesnt win).

I said i thought this was incorrect and while vino was a good bet i didnt see him as an odds on favourite.

In the end Vino didnt attack, so i reserve the right to remind the poster of this. Just a little banter is all.

+1. Getting it right has to matter at some level.

Martinelli said that Alberto was getting bored and he wanted to hammer a little bit the pace and make the gap against Chavanel more handleable... when that happened Dani and Tiralongo were there just like 10 or 15min though... nothing much serious then Tiralongo rest the most of the climb and Dani arrived with AC and Vino...

This is sounding great for the coming days, if Contador becomes bored that quickly and wants to ride, we might well see a very aggressive Contie riding, which would be real nice to see what he'll do when he is not reigned in by JB to ride defensively

@ spartacusrox:
Pehaps you can relay a time to us when Vino disappeared up the road from Levi in a cloud of dust?? i can remember a few tours when Levi rode away from Vino in the big hills and thats what will probably happen again this year so marking him is exactly what Levi will do.

Well, yesterday the one time Vino did a little dig LL was nowhere to be seen

What happened to Matt Lloyd? One minute I saw him near the front with Voeckler, but he finished 83rd!!!! He obviously got dropped, but why? Is he crap? I saw Lloyd on one of the local strips late last year, I thought he was some little kid who'd just started riding :D
