Are u actually being serious?

I am very serious. Havent you seen how the whole internet has exploded with clinic talk? It probably isnt so bad on co.uk sites but otherwise things are going mental.

This is more than just clinic stuff. Something is wrong with Contador.

I would hazard a guess its what all Cyclists go through, they peak at diff times, Cunego fairly young Evans 34(although he done great to podium the Giro at 36). And Contador is 30, can you honestly see him winning a TDF, I cant. It's not like this as just started, signs have been their all year although he has 1 or 2 good stages like the Dauphinee where he only lost 4 secs that can also be because Froome has not put the hammer down.

What I don't get though people is how Froome is known as boring he does not need to attack like crazy yet today he was itching to show he is the best, anyone would do that. The diff between Wiggo and Froome is night and day lol, I wonder if Wiggo thinks he is going to be doing the TDF next year lol or is he watching I bet deep down he wants Froome to lose so he can be the the only Sky winner.:D

This race is over bar an act ofgod. Also people expecting purito etc to climb as well as froome are a bit deluded. Froome had tour as no.1 target since last year. Likes of purito, not so much
So when Purito said last year that TDF was his biggest goal this season he was lying? Interesting theory you got there. Well done.

Problem Purito is a finisher not a climber. The first time he faced a multi climb stage ridden hard far from the finish and he has no answer. The old Purito. The trains Liquigas and Saxo did last year at Giro and Vuelta are different from SKY one

There is a difference between the Pailheres record and the Ax-3 record. The first one has not been ridden at full gas. Never. Even if there were some attackers before on that climb. The second climb, yes. It is a full gas. So the times up the Ax-3 are more representative of individual achievements.

i know
but it's important to know how fast they went over pailheres if you want to have a better image of bonascre performances

20 kmph on a climb of 2000 meters is fast by the way:cool:

I dont think purito ever seriously considers himself a yellow jersey candidate. Hes just not that sort of rider. Maybe the tour in general was his biggest goal but im sure he has a few more targets which suit him a lot better. For Froome yellow jersey was he ONLY goal. P.s. thanks for the 'well done'

Only 30 seconds clear of Samu from 3 years ago, seems about right.

Only 15 second down on Lance 01 which was the year that Lance was the most dominant. Yea, seems about right.

Just dropping in for my 2 cents...

Thanks, Quintana for this great attack! What a pleasure to watch him climb, pure poetry :)

Great ride by Valverde - who would have thought? I certainly didn't expect him to hang on that well and beat all the other non-Sky riders!

Also big respect to Mollema and ten Dam - this could be their Tour! They did the climb at their own pace, didn't get nervous and in the end got great results to show for it. I hope they can continue like this!

Great race also by Riblon, I was amazed to see how long he could hang on out front.

Froome and Porte, what more is there to say...

It just showed what we all knew anyway, at week 1 Froome is in the best shape. By week 3 it will be much closer when others eventually find their form. Although it may be too late by then.

How would anyone, ever, be closer in week three with that kind of power at hand?

Dont worry, its just another desperate straw to clutch at. The other guys would have to grow an extra leg to match Froome at this tour

I'll be honest with you fam, I'm not sure Pricey_sky is looking to clutch at straws for reasons people will beat/compete with Froome.

Was that Ten Dams best ever climb?

I think so, he has had his good days, but not so impressive.

A little bit disapointing today SKY, but they had several crashes and the Tour is long and they are going to work a lot, so it is ok.

Kennaugh very good.

A nice day of cycling.

Quintana is amazing, I like him. He was born at 3000, he is like is he felt into the EPO pot

Where is a horde of new Froome's fans? He destroyed 2 myths today: inability to animate the race and inability to attack more than from 1 km to go. Anyway a bit sad that Porte was too strong. Froome's attack in Cabarge style would of looked even more spectacular.

The man pushes 39x21 at 75-80 circrles per min at 8-9%. It's so crazy. As I said earlier he can drop anyone even being in the saddle.

Ahem;)

You are all watching a great new era of cycling folks, Chris Froome has arrived and hes gonna being tearing s**t up for a long time, sit back and enjoy a proper cyclist :D

Someone needs to keep track of the Pinarello's sold this year vs last year. ;)

I didn't believe Alberto would win, what are you talking about. Froome doesn't seem to respect Alberto to me.

Course he does, i've seen 2 or 3 interviews where hes talks highly and respectfully of Contador.

On the road is a different matter respect wise, Froome senses weakness and hes going stamp all over that, as he should.

Sky is proof that Armstrong and co were stupid to go the nefarious route in the past. They could have all just got swimming coaches and did altitude training in Tenerife
