Friday the 14th, the Tour de la Provence (2.1) starts for 3 days in the south of France. Let's hope for some good weather and no "incidents" with motor vehicles.

Stage 1 - Feb 14th Marseille to Saint-Victoret, 169.3 km, start 11.45 CET, TV from 14.00 CET (NB! 14.35 CET is the correct time)

Stage 2 - Feb 15th Forcalquier to Manosque 167.3 km, start 11.50 CET, TV from 14.00 CET (NB! 14.30 is the TV start time)

Stage 3 - Feb 16th, Rognac to Arles 190.6 km, start 12.10 CET, TV from 14.00 CET (to be confirmed!)

Why should we hope for good weather?

because it's for better views and race images and not wet cameras, and because after the *** weather the riders went through in Bessèges I hope for them they care race in dry and mostly warm conditions

So we have a downhill sprint, an uphill sprint and flat sprint, after a little uphill bit. Something for everyone who can sprint a bit! Stage 1's ending seems a bit tricky with tunnels and 90 degree corners but hopefully calm heads will prevail.

You can hope for whatever weather you want, but the riders (and the local farmers) would presumably like a few days of sunshine.

As a french: weather will be good for the three days, unlike last year. Sun and temperature around 12°C. No wind forecast for sunday at the moment.

What we should actually hope for is windy weather, considering how exposed the roads are on the final stage. Sadly, it's not on the cards. Should just be two reduced sprints and a full bunch sprint, and an easy GC win for Pedersen if he's recovered from his bout of illness.

I'm thinking of going there this Spring, so the heli views will be a good travelogue to help decide what lesser known spots to see. Hope for good racing as well.

Well, he has to reach Rolf somehow.

But yes, although some middle ground between this route and Ventoux would probably be even better.

Rigth now about 50-60 riders in Peleton. According to PCS not with S.Bennett and Penhoet.

EDIT: EF is riding for van den Berg and Lidl for Pedersen, so that the other sprinters are not coming back.

I think he'll pass Rolf in the Giro, and that should also ensure that Vingegaard likely stays behind him this year.
