The streets will never forget the mythical level Nairo Quintana reached here in 2020 and looked destined to win the Tour, before Covid hit and both his knees just stopped functioning.
I never paid much attention to this race before today. Your comment prompted me to check what happened in 2020. Indeed Nairo won, but also I see the route at this race changes every year. In 2020 there were four stages and a proper MTF. This year not so.

Tomorrow finish (last 15 km) are on a narrow, twisty, up-and-down road till they enter Manosque. A solo attacker (or two) might have a better chance of staying away than they did today.

Not sure this is correct ... :)
A is one of the peloton's shorter names.

The charge to the line in Saint-Victoret had been a disorganised one, with solo attacker Samuel Leroux (TotalEnergies) only caught with 18km to go after going on the attack 18km out. The Irishman hit the front in the dying metres of the 169km stage, coming through to beat Lukáš Kubiš (Unibet Tietema Rockets) and A (Cofidis) to the line as reigning champion l-Trek were denied the win by the fast-finishing Bennett.

Uphill finish which should suit Big Mads if the good life in Switzerland has not caught up with him - (seems to be the same as last year)

My stream finally started with only 50km left to go, hard to get a feel for the race when there's so little of it left. Don't know the breakaway guys, but nice heli shots of the region right now. :)

Spectators and entourage aside this looks like such a lovely forested area for a ride. And it's all sun-shiny too...

My commentator just said Fred Wright might have a legit chance of winning this stage, shiver me timbers!

No way Decathlon doesn't just give De Pestel his chance in a random .1 race. Is Bennett even in the peloton?
