I guess Libertine is referring to the fact that he wanted to quiet after her girlfriend Marina Romoli (the girl pictured) ended up on a wheelchair.
She asked him to continue racing and that's what he did althought I bet in the beginning it must have been quiet hard.

I don't know much about Pelucchi. Why is he a nice guy? And what's the pic?
Michele is right on this; Matteo's fiancée, and at the time one of Italy's more promising young female cyclists, Marina Romoli was paralysed from the waist down in an accident on June 1, 2010, when a car pulled across her path, suffering major injuries to her face and back. Matteo was out training with her, was first to the scene, the one to call the emergency services. He quit cycling to stay with her, though his U23 team (Trevigiani Dynamon Bottoli) said he was welcome back. He sat out a few months of racing, and only took it up again when she asked him to. Her recovery was an ongoing theme in the Italian U23 and women's scene (culminating in the "MARINA GO!" gloves at the World Championships and Bronzini's pre-meditated victory salute). He was a star throughout this (as were both his team and hers, to be fair), updating fans about how things were going.

She made her first appearance in public after the accident, on RAI2's sports magazine show Dribbling in March 2011 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaCL8LRS9bU). And Matteo is there, talking to her when she's on the machine that is trying to teach her to walk again, you can see how much they mean to each other. That photo I posted was from December, at an Italian cycling award show.

The way the sport has rallied around her has been fantastic, and Matteo's been a big part, possibly the biggest, of that, and I wish him all the best.

Wow, that's a fantastic story, thanks for expanding on it. Certainly a reason to cheer for him, good to see someone who sees beyond the sport, sort of like a counter-Ricco.

Nice to see Zabriskie win it. It was his to lose today. Now I wonder if he can hold on to the lead til stage 6 where the only mountainous stage takes place.

I think it's going to be for Rujano. I see Rujano as a far better climber than Danielson. I think Vino is the only one that can challenge Rujano.

very nice time trial by rujano,at his phisyque you can't find one better than him, just awesome that he's in good shape.
vino is still riding to get a good form for the classics,no way he can challenge the andronis here, danielson maybe.
can i find the video somewhere?
