by the way, during that coverage on TVP Sport the commentator told that Michal Kwiatkowski is about to leave the RadioShack at the end of the season. Does anybody know about such a possibility?

Don't know. Usually neo-pro contracts are longer than that, they kind of have to be, but he could be leaving by mutual; as Ferminal says, as soon as that is presented as rumour the immediate thought is "Movistar have bid for him". We know Unzué loves the guy. He was in talks with them for this year, but sponsor requests for South American presence made them stall on offering him a contract and Radioshack came in and took the opportunity. While we were expecting the Shack to fold at the end of the year we all expected Kwiatkowski to resurface at Movistar in 2012 anyway, so it's not surprising that they might be the first name that surfaces as soon as any rumour about him moving teams is started.

I haven't heard anything about him moving teams fwiw, but if he does then Movistar is the most likely destination by far.

Kittlel very impressive but Alex Kristoff is definetly improving. Nice sprint by him. A win is only around the corner.

Ahhh, weather in Poland is very bad. After the race there was storm over the Warsaw and it's still raining. Hope they will race safely.

175 Feilu Brice Leopard - Trek Team - 09:39

Too bad that he crashed because I assume that he's using Poland to prepare for the Vuelta. I hope that the massive time loss today doesn't suggest that he injured himself and that Feilu can be ready to go later this month.

I'm gonna pick Haedo for Stage 2, but any of Stage 1's top 10 could do it. Not a clear frontrunner, although Kittel continues to impress.

well, having some experience of watching polish sport chennels, and knowing that they like to hyperbolize a bit the news related to their sportsmens/events (it was even told it might be the reason why Michal was excluded from the Tour de Pologne roster) it's rather a rumour. I've just wanted to conceive is it maybe a fact everyone but me knows.

Commentator from polish Eurosport said that Kwiatkowski was contracted by QuickStep (Lefevre was looking for new riders) with another Pole (not mentioned who it is).

@Up

Are you sure? I think this commentator is very well informed, maybe even straight from the horse's mouth. We'll see shortly, I think.

I guess, if you've got what it takes to become a strong GT rider then Unzue is the much better option than Lefevre, but you're right - we have to wait and see.

Thanks for posting. You too, Dim. Looks like it's shaping up to be a wonderful race, and I'm loving the bulbous pinball bumpers lining the road.

Given that performance, I think it's hard to look past Kittel for the win today.

Love SS's new kits, too:

I would have hoped for Sagan to do a little bit better than that on this stage against this group of sprinters, but he hasn't raced since national championships week so I guess it shouldn't be shocking...

Sagan said he maybe try win a stage if it will be real chance, but priority for him and LIQ is Vuelta not TdP...So I don't expect he wins point class. third time in a row (California, Suisse, Poland)
