Guess this prologue must have been quiet technical?
49,2 km/h is a rather low average speed for a flat short TT.

start list for tomorrow.

Evans last, Kwiatkowski before him. Come on Michał, for the win. Also hope for a good TT for Bodnar.

We also have Szmyd in the race, but it maybe hard for him to do something because the parcours will not suit him perfectly

Interestingly, a lot of riders choosing to go early (Spilak, Brajkovic, Brookwalter to name a few)

Is this going to be the final list of start times?
It is strictly in in number order (so xx8 before xx7 where xx is the team number). Aren't teams allowed to swap the order around - or did they allocate rider numbers after the order was set?

BTW, those thinking Froome didnt show much this season, there a big reason. He had Bilharzia parasites and recovered just recently.

It’s been a turbulent start to the season to say the least. I arrived at the Mallorca training camp in January in good shape but feeling like something wasn’t quite right on the bike. Shortly afterwards during the Volta ao Algarve, I picked up a chest infection which kept me bed ridden for almost two weeks and then lingered on for another two weeks preventing me from taking the start at Paris-Nice.

As I felt progressively better I began to train more, only to have an accident on my TT bike which had me in hospital for the day- luckilly only leaving with a chin full of stitches.

Shortly thereafter I had some blood tests that revealed active Bilharzia parasites in my system, which I have been trying to get rid of for the past 18 months. This would explain why the chest infection affected me so severely and it took me so long to get over.

Currently, I’m sitting with three weeks of solid training in the bank since repeating the treatment for Bilharzia and all the signs are looking good. It will probably still take me a bit of time to get used to the race rhythm again but physically and mentally I’m now ready to race again. At long last!

As I write this I’m on the way to the team hotel just outside Geneva, Switzerland. The rain outside is pelting down and it’s 6 degrees. Not ideal racing conditions but I’m just glad to be back with the team and ready to race. It should be an exciting week ahead as the team we have here is both interested in the GC and sprint finishes. I'll leave it at that for now

Indeed. His nickname would definitely be "sicknote" if he were a footballer. I kinda like Jens' "alien" nickname for him though.

I do like a prologue. Nice distance too. Something for the fast men and the TTers to be interested about. And long enough to influence GC (on this parcours).

I'll go...

1. Rasmussen
2. Wiggins
3. Kwiatkowski

Durbridge and Castroviejo to round out the top 5.

I can't see past Wiggins for the overall, unless he wants to keep his powder dry.

I think Wiggins will nail this. Granted he still has some of that form he showed a month or two ago left..

But perhaps it's time for Alex to take the last step up the podium. Definitely a prologue that suits him.

I heard Westra did a time trial at his local club about a week ago to please his local fans and sheer fun, but made 51km/h over 8km+. He might be saving his legs for certain races. But I don't see him give all in Romandie, but rather use it in a perfect way to set up his mid-season.
