I mean, the TT is not the problem, his potential performance on a big alpine climb in spring classics shape is. Anyway, as long as anyone gives Almeida a good fight I'm good.
He will need to be very good on Thyon 2000 if he hopes to beat Almeida, because he "can" take 45s in the TT (thanks to the long straight sections in this TT) it will still depend on Almeida's volatile TT form. It could just as well be 20-25s which is simply negligible in relation to how much can be lost the day before.

Final climb will hit him hard, though
yeah, I agree. He's definitely got the big engine to keep a gap until then but fairly fresh Remco, Almeida, Brennan could close a big gap--if that is, they decide to contest the stage and not just wait for tomorrow (not for Brennan of course).

Why are they doing interviews at this point in the race? It's so late

With Kuzmin and Champoussin DNF, i wonder whether Astana has an illness or something in the team. Champoussin is a loss (he could have scored today and a bit in the gc), but Tejada or Fortunato would be much worse
