Nah I wasn't referring to the Pogi situation. I was thinking of the nascent drama surrounding Red Bull. The roles change but there's always people who want to see melodrama where there isn't any.

As for Pog, the route profile here doesn't really favor him creating a gap at all since it's pan flat after the climb.

I think you should pull because it gives you a higher chance to sneak away in the final k than if you annoy everyone. All the other reasons to pull are related to gaining insurance on Cepeda and Luke Plapp

I doubt he could get a gap anyway, but this way he gives himself a better chance in a sprint, where beating at least Nordhagen should be doable, plus he saves energy for the next stages by not doing any work. If he now ends up fourth at the finish he will look stupid, but no risk, no glory.
