Two excellent video's portraying life in a professional cycling team. It was good of GreenEdge to add in a Geography and travelogue lesson on Slovenia, looks like a great place. Well done to Darryl Impey on his win, he is having a great season. Gossy will be disappointed no doubt with getting a stomach bug but you have to admit his call for toilet paper while on the bike was painful but interesting (Stage 2 backstage pass).

Hopefully Pozzovivo will let them suffer! but with the amount of km they have to do after the climb there will be no way he will win today I guess :(.

Pozzovivo and Brajkovič are 1.25 in front of group with 11 riders - Liquigas are chasing. 23km until the finish.

Was throwing something into google translate

16.17 - Še vedno prednost Brajkoviča in Pozzovivo še vedno držita prednost več kot minute. V skupini 11 zasledovalcev tudi naša kolesarji Koren in Golčer, morda tudi Tomaž nose. Do cilja še manj kot 10 km.

16:17 - There is still an advantage Brajkovič Pozzovivo and still hold an advantage over a minute. In the group of 11 riders zasledovalcev our root and Golčer, perhaps Thomas pregnancy. To finish in less than 10 miles.

Tomaz Nose = Thomas Pregnancy :p?

A few photos from today's stage by Your's Truly :D

We were positioned at the final 10% slope of the third climb of the day, about 1 km from the summit. We had very little info about what was going on in the race. Then suddenly, the first two riders appear below... they both wear blue jerseys... "Jaaaniiii!!!!" we roared as we realized Brajko is leading..! So, for the record: Jani pulled up like crazy and Pozzovivo barely managed to follow.

The first chasing group followed about 30 secs later. Tomaž Nose (Adria Mobil), Jure Golčer (Tirol) - both are Slovenian climbing specialists, Gomez Ancona (Lampre), Bruno Pires (Saxo Bank).

Another 30 secs later came the Liquigas train - their Slovene Kristijan Koren who eventually won 3rd place today in the sprint of the pursuing group, is seen at the back of the group here.

Today was perhaps the most beautiful day in Slovenia in several years (and I mean weatherwise, not because Brajko was riding so well :p). Cloudless sky, fantastic visibility. Temperature reached 30 degrees and more in the valleys, so conditions were hard for the riders. This is the first Cat 1 climb of the day to Soriška planina from the south (the 3rd climb then returned from the northern side). A break of eight riders is currently leading for 4 minutes, but the main group here is still coherent, just starting to tackle the 12% slope 4 kms from the summit.
