Haven't really watched till now. Did the roads dry up or something? Some weird results with Scully and 3rd and I would say that Vermeersch in 5th is a surprise as well.

It seems so stupid that all the best riders started early, ruining the TV experience (okay, the horrible information level helps in this regard as well), and then the conditions are best now...

Schachmann?

Im starting to think he might actually best suited as a GC rider, in case he can lose a few more kilos.
He doesnt seem to be as punchy as the best in the hilly classics, he doesnt seem to have the best 3min effort, he has an ok sprint at best. Really steep climbs dont seem to suit him either. What he has is a good TT and he seems to do well already on rolling long climbs. Other than that right now he seems to be a rider who is good at everything but doesnt really have on outstanding quality. That way his classics results will never be much better than what they were this year.

Tom Scully is third??

I see he has fourth place in a Suisse TT a few years ago but still weird.
