O'Connor is pretty much within range of MTT gains already if Almeida has an okay day on the final stage. Needs around 30 additional seconds on Vauquelin. Very doable.

Kudos to Alaphilippe for hanging in there on Splugenpass and then bombing the descent. Still third in GC. Halfway through the final climb i thought he would explode and come in 10 minutes behind Almeida.

Atm he actually looks better on longer climbs than on the short, punchy ones...
That said, so far he has been improving during this race.
