Let's just say that seeing the water flow down through the rocks had an effect on me 15 years ago. However I have actually contemplated going back there this summer.

Or just whip it out and pee roadside like the riders do... I'd be afraid I'd get a fine though if caught. (If they give fines in Switzerland for such a thing, I don't know. In the States it would probably be considered lewd behavior in public and I think there would be a fine.)

I can't remember the exact amount (although it's actually only been 14 years, I've just realised), but I believe I paid in Euro and then the machine gave me back the difference in Swiss Francs instead, which were worth less at the time, and since I wasn't going to stay in Switzerland, they didn't hold any value to me then. The same thing happened to me in Liechtenstein once.

Everyone thinks they are making all their money in finance, but I've discovered that it's all a big lie. Toilet charges and road tolls are the real reasons for their massive wealth.

Seeing as you had no use for the Swiss Francs in the future I can see why you would want to get rid of it in any way available to you. So paying to use a toilet makes sense now.

I still have at least one Swiss Franc lying around, and now that it is worth more than a Euro I'm basically a Billionaire. However a lot of things are also more expensive in Switzerland than in Germany and Austria, so I wouldn't be able to last long living there.

We had a regional USCF official who felt that doing your business from the bike was gross and dangerous so if you did she would make you stop and walk a circle around your bike, before you could continue racing. It was still quicker to do it from the bike and do the quick stop fire drill.

Another tough to control stage today with two smaller climbs at the business end. Arkea didn't have to work yesterday, but they will be tested today most likely. Some of the top GC contenders would problably prefer a softer pace considering the MTT on Sunday,, so piano with a sprint on the last climb or full on 40km break action with serious GC implication in the end or something inbetween?

Hope never dies (not even in this day and age): Full on racing please.
