flumserberg is not THAT hard. i think it is 10,5 at 9% around. pantani('95) and igor anton won there.

but yes it will be pretty epic, around 55 minutes of pain
will they change bikes in flums?

There are few diffrences but hey, Paris Nice had one moutain stage, few hilyl stages, few sprinter stages and a MTT. This is very similar.

This is voted so far great. Paris Nice route was voted ****. What gives ?

Agree and disagree.

Apart from Hasliberg on the stage to Meiringen the route is rather underwhelming with the final TT being too important.

But also Hasliberg and Albula are better than the puny climbs on days 4 and 5 of Paris-Nice.

Then again it's also Switzerland vs Central France.

It's a pity that the route evades the real obstacles. For example stage 3 should feature the gurnigel pass. Stage 6 should feature the Etzel climb from altendorf.

No fatal design flaws in individual stages.

On the other hand there are no exceptional stages here, but if we judged routes against that we wouldn't get far.

Also no one knew there was a 2nd hilly finish in P-N because ASO don't release the profiles. It was that stage which in the end was probably the difference between a good and boring race. Speaking of missing profiles, Crit Int is 7 days away and still no news.

Not the best route I've seen but not a bad one either, nothing that really impresses me. Will have to wait to see which riders decide to go.

LaFlo posted some profiles for Crit International in the Contador thread, not sure where she got them though, since ASO doesn't have any info up on the 2013 race on the website. http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showpost.php?p=1169161&postcount=6090

They do Crans-Montana quite often, wasn´t it already finish in TdS/TdRomandie few times in the last years?

To have Julier, Albula and Nufenen is great, also nice Flumserberg TT.

The mountains especially in the Graubünden/Grisons area are the greatest ones not only in Switzerland, but maybe in the world, anyways.

Only Nufenen in the central Switzerland this time, but better than nothing. This area however offers stages with combinations of Nufenen, Furka, Gotthard, Susten, Grimsel, Grosse Scheidegg, Lukmanier, Klausen, but OK, can´t be like 2005 every year, when they had three of them in a 100km stage.

Was Romandie MTT last year and the year before in June. There are a million ways up though, Soler won via Aminona plus they finished on a ramp once they had gone into town. This time it's probably more similar to the year Cancellara held on where it flattens out towards the top (around 15km @ 6%).
