That's either insanely fast, or the weather has changed.

That's reasonably fast, but the fast guys are all yet to start. A pure climber is second right now.

The gesture was wrong no question, i cant back him up on that.

I can cope with the abuse from the other previous poster that i've never heard of (tr dean) but i wont go running to a Mod because i really couldnt give a ****.

I don't care if you have hear of me or not...really does not matter. As for abuse...it was a small joke anyway and not real harm intended...sorry.:)

crashed in first corner in the prologue

Can't beat Chris Froome, who once went up to the starthouse, stood there for a minute waiting for his turn, then started.....and after less than 3 meters, went straight when he should've turned and ran over a steward :D

The climb has quite a lot of effect then, this does look like Porte will be quite a good climber. I wonder how well he'll cope in the giro

I wouldn't quite go that far. It's just that the guys who can potentially set fast times have all set fast times in the prologue, and therefore are all yet to start. Verdugo will tumble miles down the order when all is said and done.

The climb has an effect, yes, but it's still mostly about TT ability.

EDIT: also, Grabsch's time was given incorrectly and has now been corrected by the organizers. He sits second, a minute faster than previously reported. This TT is half the length he would need it to be to win.

Yeah, didn't really see how many folks still needed to race, should've just kept my mouth shut :p

But still I'm optimistic about the guy and hope he'll ride out the giro

They've corrected it again, to a minute slower.

LOL. That does not even sound like him. Where is all the swearing?
I think it got lost in 'Google Translate"..... So I put in Cav speak to see the original.

Original Press release said:
"I want to publicly apologise for the gesture I made on the finish line of the Tour de Romandie yesterday. I did want to make a statement to my critics, but I realise that making a rude gestures on the finish line is not the best way to do that,” Cavendish said in a statement issued Friday afternoon.

“I apologise to everybody watching the race and especially the kids. I am not proud of releasing the feelings in that way. I hope I can redeem myself and show my feelings and passion for cycling with some exciting results in the next couple of months rather than with gesture such as the one yesterday".

CAV speak said:
"I want to say how f**kin sorry I am for giving people who don't know s**t about racing the f**k you sign at a s**t small race yesterday.
I really wanted to get off my bike and bash all the ***** who wrote me off but after Bob called me a ****** **** and realising he is bigger than me I agreed to say I am really f**kin sorry,ya"
"I now realise I should not have made that f**kin rude gesture at the finish line - from now on I will only say f**k you in the newspapers and TV interviews."

"I am really sorry to all the f**kin kiddies - especially the ones who have to wear braces like me. I am not proud at giving you ***** the 'V' yesterday - I would have preferred to do it at MSR. I feel I can f**kin redeem myself over the next couple of months as long as the team keeps that German **** off the team.
If I win again I won't do the V f**k you sign again and will go back to pointing at my balls".

"Again lets think of the kiddies"
