There are almost no flat parts in this ITT.

4 km uphill (Côte de St. Rémy de Provence)
3,3 km downhill/flat
4 km uphill (Sommet des Baux de Provence)
2,6 km downhill (very small, windy road)
3,4 km flat

The climb to Les Baux was classified as Cat. 2 in 2012 apparently

That's a total of 17.3k. Profile says 18.2k. And the bolded sections are not in accordance with the profile above. So either your info is wrong or the profile is wrong.

Mine is just an approximation based on what I found on this sheet:

http://letourmed.fr/4-st-remy-st-remy-de-provence-2014-1er-coureur.pdf

I just took de difference between "Pied de l'ascension" (Foot of the climb) and "Sommet" (Summit).

So not at all a scientific approach

Jungels was 13th on today's stage, so maybe a good sign. I hope he can do well, I'll be cheering for him.

Think it will probably be Phinney if he can handle the hills well, otherwise Lulu or Chava.

Out of curiosity, how do people think Pirazzi will do?

It would be interesting to see what betancur can do in the tt, with the climbs and being rather good in itt considering the pocket climber he is.

Peraud/Chava/Jungels could perform very well here, i don't believe in phinney here, the uphill parts are too hard for him, even if he seems in good shape after Dubai

I think it's because of the wind though, just like in the first stage. At least, directvelo is talking about a strong wind. :)

I don't think he has gained enough time already to keep the lead, unless he finishes first he's gonna lose it. There are 55 riders still in the same time as him. I don't think he's going to do all that bad though, he showed us earlier this year that he's capable of doing shorter TT's (although this one is a lot more hilly I think).
