True... no way Gesink could manage that.

What if Vandenbroecke falls?

Kevin De Weert vs TGBM thread?
Hm, difficult one... De Weert has great support, from Addy Engels. Of course, TGBM supports himself, which is the best support you could wish for.

He has practically crashed out. He's still racing, but probably like a zombie.

It will be a difficult few days.
Hope stge 6 and 7 are trouble free.

Super Besse will be very tough now.
But if he can limit his losses to less then 30 seconds it wont be so bad.

There might be adequete time before Luz Ardiden to recover.

I thought he did well today. He did all things considered, but yeah..

But that quote youngest posted is concerning.

He has a little under a week to recover before the Mountains, and stage 8 is just around the corner.

He seems pretty down atm also.
He looked p!ssed when he did his 2nd bike change, and his twitters yesterday sounded like a man in bad spirits.

It doesn't look good at all.

In other news, and going off topic since I don't know where else to post this, Marianne Vos is completely dominating the Giro Donne. She soloed to victory today yet again, but this time in the Mortirolo stage which many thought was Emma Pooley's for sure. There are still a couple of tough stages ahead, but she's looking better than ever.
At least we can always count on Vos to deliver. :p

Terrible post-stage comments by Gesink. It seems this has affected him too much psychologically as well. Nothing positive to cling to after the small interview other than the fact that he pulled through another day. He hopes that it goes better in the coming days otherwise he has no business being there, that does not bode well.
