Here's the UCI rule: "The height difference between the point of support for the elbows and the highest and lowest points of the handlebar extension (including the gear levers) shall be less than 10 cm in order to guarantee that the forearms are horizontal."

Maybe it's the angle, but to me this looks like more than 10 cm...

Nice to see Gaimon doing well, but I expected more from Navardauskas in the prologue. He has always been good in short TTs and he was supposed to fight for GC here?

Yeah, I wondered about that too.

Thanks, still think these configurations are within the rules. 9,99cm.

Oh good, another German who can sprint. :p

We need all of them on the same team.

3,5h of racing in heavy rain and low temperatures. That gotta be fun.

The sprinting was pretty tame. Navardauskas should have taken this, but started sprinting while being only in the 8-9th position - I guess he messed up his positioning (or the team didn't pull through enough to put him a bit closer to the top).

Racing in rain and cold condition will often provide "odd" performances. Some simply manages to handle this better than others.

Forecast looks brighter today.

So are there going to be any gaps on this Tour? The profile for today looked like it would cause some action but alas the likes of Theo Bos hung on

Maybe stage 5?

No favorable wind, no deal.

A top TT'er like Dumoulin on a WT outfit with 7 team mates can easily control this race unless mother nature decides to disrupt the procession.

But I think Zepunkte can threaten him through boni's; Zepunkte is only 9 seconds back. Another stage win and he leads the GC.
