Is there even a single stage which won't realistically end in a bunch sprint?
Stage 2 potentially.
Final K

and stage 3 could be interesting at the end

Constitution hill, 1.5k to 2k from the finish

having walked up constitution hill i can verify it is evil

and having riden most of stage 4 some of the climbs may catch people out. the climb around sidmouth especially. I think that will be the day the breakaway go's and provides the winner.

apart from that only stage 7 finishes on anything other than a pretty pan flat final straight.

Should be named Tour of England. Nice of them to come back to Scotland next year, even if they can barely scrape over the border.

Last year the ITV4 highlights were really poorly produced, I hope they do a better job this year since their TdF show is great.

lets hope so. Dean Downing is the co-commentator this year so at least he will have a good knowledge of all the domestic riders. I think a lot of it is down to the crews on the road, toB was always outshone by the tour of ireland, but i beleive Tour of ireland had the ASO camera bikes and crews.

someone raised the idea elsewhere of a tour of the celtic nations, scotland, ireland, wales, cornwall and brittany.. that would kick the toB into touch.

Bl@@dy jocks. They give it all this independence nonsense, and that they don't want to be part of the UK any more, whilst on the other hand they whinge when not included in 'British' things. You can't have it all ways!

That looks like a sick climb...Definitely won't have any "proper" sprinters take that one, it could be for Boasson Hagen though.

thankfully the weather forecast for swansea on monday is dry (at the moment) rain will make that climb hellish

When the Scottish football fans boo god save the queen, do you think why?

You're right, that probably is why the Tour of Britain doesn't go into Scotland.

BTW, I found out today that there is a road up Cairn Gorm, like almost 1k up. MTF there, a TT, and you have yourself a race.

Evil indeed! You can picture the fights that there will be just to be in position at the start of that. A must view stage me thinks.

Nonsense? You want us to stay part of the union then:confused: It's not England's decision you know:)

The thing I love most about the English is how easy it is to wind them up.
...and to make fun of their amateur event!:D

Gee, that is really going to break the field apart. Maybe wiggins could accelerate away from the pack and win the day.

Just seems that the Scots don't want to be part of the UK, yet constantly whinge when not included in 'British' things. I.e coverage of Scotland on the BBC/Tour of Britain etc...

Once Hadrians Wall is rebuilt, you will be forgotton about you know;)

The sooner the better, we can't afford to keep drip feeding you with our taxes.

maybe it's just that tw@ Alex Salmond who scews our opinion of you lot up there;) Indeed, I suppose that is his agenda!
