Nice to see Quintana for some minutes

Also i like that TV coverage stays on breaks 60-70% of the time (at least since 60km to go when i watched)

From this POV Movistar are TV *****s :D

Lots of people despite the awful weather.

I liked the cameras staying on the break too, However this was due to technical problems with the cameras on the peleton so they only had the motorbike camera that was with the break.

Great support up Honister pass, it must have been horrendous up there all day in that weather.

Just looking at the GC and D.Martin is only 26s back. Wiggo 30s, Dowsett 31s and Quintana must have lost time up that final hill as he is now 51s back.

Wiggo will beat him, the only reason Dowsett won the Giro stage is Wiggins had a mechanical.

I don't disagree (I was half joking with the ;) ) I'd like to see Dowsett give him a run for his money though.

I expect quintana rolled in. Changable weather conds could maybe be a factor in the TT. Looks like its gonna be pretty miserable again

What happened to nathan haas? He was 2nd last year wasnt he?

Unless I'm being an idiot, I think there are some inconsistencies between the stage and gc results. Quintana was given the same stage time ('17) as wiggins etc but is 51 down on gc?

Honister was great, but cold, just about warmed up now

Great seeing Quintana and Martin off the front, there where a few staglers struggling, too far from the finish though to make this climb count.

Yep, loads of ppl their and got totally soaked, I parked in Keswick, rode up Newlands Valley down to Buttermere and up to Honister, got there far too early and got completely socked and freezing

I don't think the descent from Honister could have been much fun for the peleton,

Sky are such a dull team when they're riding for Wiggins. Should have been attacking with riders like Stannard in the finale today.

I agree with you and if there was not a TT then I think Edmondson could have been the GC guy. It is what it is though, Brad is a decent enough climber to not let anyone really hurt him and he can back it up with a huge TT engine.

The TT won't be decisive and I think Wiggins will lose too much time to the punchier riders on stages 5+6.

That was quite the final k from Ciolek.

For whom were Sky riding exactly? Sir Wiggo?

Just trying to make sure there are no time losses for Wiggins. So it was a bit stupid to chase down Lofkvist who had already lost 1.37 on the first stage.

The only thing that makes sense is that he picked up a 20 second time penalty for some reason. The same must be the case with Jack Bauer on stage 1.

Maybe a penalty for attacking sky in their home race?

Penalised 20 seconds for sheltering behind a car according to itv4.

Also Wiggins was involved in the Visconti crash and landed straight on him!

Slightly better action today, but whats with the useless one by one attacks in ****ty conditions with 10-30km to go?

Lets hope for less miserable weather moving forward. Go Dowsett.
