Nice win by Zardini

Roche killed himself with the ridiculous gear.

Kwiatkowski vs. Wiggo for the GC win I guess?
Wiggo wasn't too far off, but Kwiatkowski is the favourite I think.

Very nice top 10 (GC):

2(17) KWIATKOWSKI MichalOmega Pharma - Quick-Step 0:13
3(49) ROCHE NicolasTinkoff-Saxo 0:17

5(36) WIGGINS BradleyTeam Sky 0:24

Game on.

I had a lot of money on Roche for the overall in this race. It was all going to plan until 1.5km out.

What a massive gear he turned. I think if he sat tight until the last kilometre, he would have finished closer to Zardini.

Looks to be between Wiggo and Kwiatkowski for the overall.

Impossible to see beyond Kwiatkowski now. He should take further time bonuses between now and the end of the race and he is perfectly capable of beating Wiggins in a time trial of that length in any case.

I think Wiggins will beat him in the time trial, but acknowledge that the Pole is more likely to take time bonuses.

Not sure, Kwiatkowski always was amongst the best on short(er) TT's, when he was in form. It were the longer ones where he seemed to struggle a bit. And even that is an understatement considering a couple of top 10 results.
And since Wiggo often rides a negative split, he will have a hard time making up a lot of ground on the Pole. I too think Wiggins will take the TT, but not gain enough time to win the GC. Of course this is wishful thinking on my part, but still not impossible to happen.
