Starts here in just over an hour. Pretty much the best streaming coverage I've ever seen of a race. Well, with the exception of the commentary...

Good footage by the Shack.

Weather imitating profile?
One will be better, tomorrow and hopefully the other will follow.
After today's Giro grind, this second helping could be hard to digest.
Pray for crosswinds and hope.

Roll on Wednesday and lots of lumpy bits.

Rendell says Tour of Cali sprinting field is "every bit as good as the one at the Giro".

Umm no. Hushovd and Goss are obviously world class but neither seem to be anywhere near top form while Cav Pettachi and Farrar are the worlds 3 best (now that Greipel has began to suck big time) and 2 of them were actually on form.

Wonder if Lacombe can do it again today. If he launched 50 meters later, he might have won.

The problem isn't really with the top field (Hushovd, Goss, Freire, Matthews, Haedo and Swift are a pretty good lineup even if they may not stack up to Petacchi, Cavendish and Farrar) but with the second tier. Sagan isn't a pure sprinter, and can any of the continental guys stack up to the Giro's secondary sprinters, the likes of Ventoso, Belletti, Napolitano, Chicchi, Modolo, Kristoff, Cardoso, Ferrari? If Sagan belongs up there in a pure sprint we should probably be mentioning Visconti and Vicioso as well, plus of course Wouter Weylandt could turn a very good sprint in before tragedy struck.

Love that Liggett and Sherwen. They keep telling us that Leipheimer practically owns this race. Have they heard of Andy Schleck? Maybe they think Andy isn't hungry enough, even though he hasn't won squat this year, so far. Man, those two old codgers are so "resplendently" boring these days.

After 2 minutes of Phil and Paul, you would swear they know sod all about cycling. Of course they do.
Too many years of pandering to wider audiences means they don't so much commentate upon, but sell a race.

Why would the peloton won't to bring the break back with 70kms to go?
They are already struggling, in anycase.

Okay, the stream is very, very good.

If you mouse over the video window, you'll get the following:

VIDEO: STANDARD BROADCAST FULLSCREEN

Click on "BROADCAST" and you'll get a full screen image behind transparent information windows.

VERY cool.

Shacker, BMC guy in the ditch?
Pity the director missed it......no repeat.

Looks like it was Ben King, and or a couple of BMCers.

Even Kirby on Eurosport knew the bunch aren't going to chase, yet.

Yesterday Kirby thought Swarzenegger was still the Governor.
