I thought Friere did very nicely to move up underneath Swifty and take Henderson's wheel but I guess he really is getting old and slow. Better from Hushovd today, Sagan looked slower though.
Which is what I'm saying for quite a while now, and I got laughed at for that. You believe me now???

Who's laughing now

You've been saying it for so long, of course if enough time elapsed you'd be right eventually :p

So, Jens Voigt does nothing but ride next to Andy Schleck in the crosswinds and Sherwen talks him up as if he is the only one who could pull the whole second group back. Then he crashes and we hear about how valiant a warrior he is, as if any other mere mortal would be heading to the hospital.

Oh, and don't mind the no-name guy who really hit the pavement hard -- Jens is back up. Cue a few more shots of Jens strolling home and my life is now fulfilled.

Ah, Oscar just gave up it seems. Kinda weird though even if he is getting old.
1) he couldn't even FOLLOW the wheel
2) he blew up after 100m
3) he sucks in this kind of sprint now

give him a hard hilly stage and he'll be up there probably. He's better at climbing than sprinting now. (also proved by his 6th in AGR and his good LBL performance)

The stream is excellent, but I don't get why there's no sound from the race.
It is perplexing. The regular Verses broadcast has ambient noise, actually much better than the Giro canned sounds in that vaguely behind the crowd noise is the subtle sound of the motorbike - and the sound of shifting actually matches where a bike would shift.

Well yeah. Still it's not every day that you see a very good rider (which he still is) run out of gas in such a good position.

it was happening all the time. He didn't win 1 single flat sprint after an EASY stage in the last year... I was right all the time. But then he would win a HILLY stage and you guys would shout "see he can still win sprints!!! xD Xd xD" (against 3rd rate **** sprinters that were left after the climbs, yeah right).

He can't sprint for sh.t anymore

Haedo looking rather sharp, TdF for him (depending on CAS)?

I wish. Unfortunately he sucked bad when he was given a gt to perform at last year and i see similar results this time round.

Sky dominating this race so far, too bad Rogers isn't there to ride for GC.

Today they had a 9th man who left a convenient gap open up in the sprint. Otherwise it would have been a leadout gone bad.

Thor went backwards slightly slower than yesterday, so he is encouraged by the signs of improvement. The sensations must be getting better...
