Well, or Robobasso the next year if not for Puerto. That would probably have meant a clean sweep.

"Rene Wenzel bad"? Huh?
Since René Wenzel entered commentating at ES, I've regarded Wenzel as the finest Danish cycling commentor, surpassing Bay, Mortensen, Ritter, Sörensen (x2) and the likes, even Holm, when it comes to pure nerdy cycling knowledge and the ability to , especially rider knowledge of less known riders on the third lead. Speaking smaller races in the States and U23 races in Europe, he appears as 2nd to none with his always updated young rider database in his mind.
Of course it's a matter of taste - some people dislikes his kind of over-calm "laid back" style. Personally, I like his extreme understated humorous style a lot![]()

Nor Liniger for that matter, but I haven't really seen much racing commented by him (not including radio commentating for the Tour.)
The problem with Liniger is that, as a consequence of commentating EVERY sport for DR, he doesn't really know what he's talking about most of the time. DR should hire a real expert instead of a generalist. Put Liniger on the radio instead, where he can commentate for P3.RedheadDane said:I don't get the hatred of Wenzel either.

Nope, I live in Aalborg so I got pretty lucky both to see the start and finish. The other stages are in the southern and eastern part of Denmark, so thats way to long to see a relatively minor race for me.Flamin said:Well done Wout, easy win (no surprise here of course) by the looks of it.
Will you attend any more stages Valv?

Also nice to see some of the dropped riders let their hair hang loose (quite litterally, when Shane Archbold decided to sway his hair the last time up), and particularly last-placed Jeremy Lecroq, who decided to do a wheelie up the hill to thank for the great support still left for him.

Well toby said it really well.
His voice is by far the worst commentator voice across every sport.
When he explains some of his weird thoughts, you just shake your head in disbelief
You dont seem to have any demands for a commentator. Can you name me one you dont like, in any sport?
