The more I think about it, the more I doubt Cancellara's chances. As much as I admire the guy, I really can't see how the outcome will be any different from last year if his tactics (if you can even call it that) are the same as well. He seems to be very, very strong again, but he wasn't invincible last year, and it looks like other teams have figured him out.
I doubt Boonen's going to win either though, pretty much the same applies to him too. Other teams will be able to exploit his desire to win by not doing any work.

Cancellara is leading the poll.

I favour Boonen more than Cancellara. His form is much better than the same time last year. It could end up being a similar race to last year even though the route will be harder but as one rider said earlier in the week, "a harder route does not always make a harder race." The favourites migh cancel each other out again.........no pun intended.

Well as Gerrans isn't riding i am not too sure which GreenEdge rider will cause the upset and take this out, but I am leaning towards good old Stuey O.

Given they have won around 50% of the WT races so far this year it follows that they have a 50% chance of winning this. :)

Common sense would say so wouldn't it.

But you never know... how about an all GreenEdge/BMC podium?

That would be very nice... at least for me.

Langeveld's a good chance for GreenEdge as well.

Yep, they are riding high at the moment. I won't be suprised to see a GreenEdge rider figure in the finish.

That would be nice, but I think its impossible to keep OPQS or leopard out of the podium today. If OPQS don't have a single rider in the podium it would be a massive fail.

Vaitkus can also do GreenEdge some good. Not sure about Tuft though. He's a big rider, kind of like Cancellara if not bigger. He says he likes the cobbled classics and wants to go well when he rides them.

Is the obvious one given last year, but if the race is really negative Goss could get up. Let me say it again REEEEAAAAALLLLLYYYYYYYY negative.

In all honesty if they want this win they should go for a break while boonen and cancellara look at each other, and in that sense it could be anyone, but more likely noone.

Gerrans would crash at this race easily ( he is also too light ) and therefore ill suited.

Langveld is a good rider and there are some other options that could feature. It's not the weakest team here by a long shot.

Langeveld can do something here for GreenEdge.

He said in an interview with NOS that he thinks he's not far away from being in top form, so that bodes well for a good classification. Nothing is a certainty of course, especially since many others, inlcuding the favorites, are confident of being in top form.

Sporza now on with usual pre-live stuff. I'm glad the day of speculations, predictions and assumptions are over. Really can't wait for the racing getting hot!

And while watching the race, spare a thought for Wouter Weylandt, for his kid and widow. He would have loved to race today.

I think he's in top form. Chavanel was impressed by him at the Driedaagse.

Well played boomcie. Well played.

I don't think anyone got the podium right. Will10 and Peccio89 got positions 1 and 2 though.

Expanded prediction:
1. Langeveld
2. Terpstra
3. Cancellara
4. Boonen
5. Pozzato
6. Ballan
7. Chavanel
8. Vanmarcke
9. Breschel
10. Devolder

Sagan to be in the main group till the last loop and go backwards and finish in the top 25, one of the Izaguirre bros also to get in top 30. Vacansoleil to get three riders in top 15.

[fanboy mode]Want Canc to win, but probably won't happen. Though wouldn't mind a Tommeke/Chavanel win.[/fanboy mode]
Only Breschel. Though guessed that Boonen>Pozzato>Ballan.
