So? Last year, Tour de Med was Gesinks first race, and he was 3rd or 4th on the Mont Faron (escaper won, Valverde 2nd in front of Gesink, same time)
Years before that, California was usually his first race, and I can remember him winning a stage there and doing well as a neo pro in his first ever 'mountainous' stage there..
At any rate. It would be uncommon if Gesink would suck there.

For Rodriguez, almost the same goes. He didn't have brilliant days in Mallorca, but, other than that he usually goes well in any mountain stage

Uncommon is still not likely but still possible.

And if this race is too early in the season to climb then Paris Nice is and Paris Nice has had guys like Contador and Sanchez go well. It's only a two week turnaround so there is virtually no difference regarding climbing this early in the season.

So it's not uncommon if Gesink and Rodriguez dominate because as stated above, they are solid riders all year round.

Well, if you start discussing like that, yeah, there is also a possibility that Evans wins the Tour, a possibility that pigs might learn how to fly, and a possibility that Chewbacca really excists and is coming to visit us this year

Everything is possible :p

Now you're just being stupid. I won't lower myself to your level.

I never said that it wouldn't happen but having mountains in stage races is earlier than it has been in the past.

I make a simple comment and people are all over me like a rash!:(

That's just the thing, riders like Gesink and Rodriguez almost never have 'bad form'. Make a study of Rodriguez and Gesink results and they exceptionally consistent throughout the season. Kind-a like your friend Cadel, who's also an all-season rider.

Nothing like Andy -let me get as many outside-top-100-places as I can- Schleck

Rodriguez was crap in Mallorca. Why not make a bet that he won't win the MTF in Oman?

2 weeks avatar of winner's choice for the loser.

Yep none of the big name sprinters have made it over the mountain. Looks like its Haussler vs EBH vs Bennati for the sprint.

I never talked about winning.

I was discussing doing well / not sucking. Lets say, I'd be suprised if both of them don't finish top 10 in the MTF stage
