Note that its now geo-restricted to Holland.

We can rip it (got loads of dutch proxies) and upload it but weve decided against it. Word ive had is that Eurosport are going to kick off because copies are going on youtube prior to them showing it, so weve ceased putting up any more oman videos before we get copyright claims. (exactly the same happened last year... Oman and Qatar were real issues for putting up video of in 2010 as well, all of last years video got deleted, both mine, wcc's everyones). Its crazy that the ASO is concerned about race video going up on the day of the race, but has done nothing at all to give broadcasters footage on the day of the race. The people who put it online arent trying to profit or anything else, just get race fans pictures to watch. Fricking stupid.

Weird... Their policy is inconsistent.

Probably sometime tomorrow they'll post a more detailed (as in 1:30 or so) clip based on the Eurosport coverage which they'll use in the sport news bulletins. When that gets posted online I'll be interested to see if they restrict that too.

It's the same video as the one the official site has posted sans the tourist board fluff. :)

Alejandro Valverde  Wins wins and then wins.

Also last year, Scarponi and Purito on top top form from March to October. In Puritos case none stop.

Excect scarponi had a large break I'n between ;)

Re: personality and why we support riders. I personally - despite the name - care little for Rabo, but do admittedtly like dutch riders. But like dt mentioned they gotta have a good personAlity / attitude.
As for gesink I like the guy, his attitude and mainly the way he conducts himself on a bike. Very gutsy rider.
As for Dekker, I quite like him to and thought the way he handled and talks about his positive as refreshing.

Finally regarding the Tt I think we should ban the next person whom discusses gesink against the clock :p

Is it possible that the fact that riders are on road bikes vs TT bikes will influence the outcome much since everyone won't be in their optimal aero position. Or is it pretty much the same pecking order?

Hence why i said that only J rods was "none stop"

Or we should just ban Ruben next time he takes the bait.

Its a shame we have to wait 24 hours to see the green mountian stage, so i have to boycott this thread.

Later losers :D

Phew, he's gone! :p Now we can get back to business... J-Rod is obviously gonna lose this race in the TT...

just kidding... Anyway, I still think that Pinotti is a good bet for the overall, depending on how his form is. The obvious problem with making predictions in these early season races is that we've got no clue how riders' forms are. J-Rod on form could probably win, but is he really targeting Oman, with the Ardennes a couple months away? No way he's on peak form yet...

Hahahahahaha... You can't put "Gesink" and "TT" in the same expression w/o recieving a notification from DT...
Well but now I'm going to help him in that subject cuz I'm going to the dark side and joining "The Dutch Mafia"... right now I'm filling the forms to apply for a position soon Hitch will recieve my application

About the personality of the riders... mmmm I always like the "attacking-type" rider, I dont care if They are jerks like Riccó but OFC is always nice to see humble ppl but classy... attacking-type like Vino, Gilbert, Riccó, Contador (not Le Tour 2010 like), Valverde, JRod, and many more... as Ryo I like and hype a lot the Colombians and Venezuelans cuz they rider hard, so hard that sometimes they bonk big time, like Rujano... also is so nice just seeing them climbing... you cant say Colombians/Venezuelans w/o saying climbs...

What makes you think that? He seems to be just catching up on his form.

He did liked what Kangert and Clarke are doing.

They said that in his facebook profile... OFC could be just PR but who knows? ;)

I'll try to find it...

Is it just me or is EBH being seriously overrated? Does anyone really think he can finish top30 today?

Yes it was an anomaly
And I think Gesink's Suisse and TDF 2010 TT's were anomalys
Get it?

Usually, or better, before that, he used to finish top 20 and even a decent amount of times top 10 in time trials
Just like every other bad result.
Dekker_Tifosi said:
I also think Pereiro doesn't suck in ITT's.

The thing is, mr. boomcie thinks not top-tt'ers are people who 'suck at TT's'

I think people who finish outside the top 50 every time trial suck at TT's.
Go to CQ ranking, check all results of Gesink in time trials (except prologues) and you'll find, he does not suck at TT's.

Period.
This is a FACT. Backed up by RESULTS. Yet people still trying to dispute the facts, why, I don't know. Maybe they are bored

gesink is so awesome in tt's bla bla bla. You are so defensive.

Interested in how Meyer goes.

Vandevelde vs Pinotti. In an article today, it seems they both will try to aim for a high spot on GC or do good in the oncoming stages.

Pinotti is a better TT'ist and Vandevelde is a better climber

Which rider will place higher?

Yes it has subsided I guess since late 2009, but it just seems he's been talked up a lot in the media, and that's being reflected in his odds.

I'm not sure he can hold on to climbers at such steep gradients for more than a few hundred metres. The first steep section should see him drop from the front and the final 2km should see them hammer home the advantage.

I generally am one who calls ebh overrated, but here at Oman I think top 30 is well within his reach on green mountain.

We all know what Team 'ride 'em into the barriers' Rabobank is like!

As far as the Gesink sprint "incident" goes, it's more like team 'just shut up and sprint' Rabobank. ;)

ok so i'm the only one who's kind of excited about today's stage but not at all about gesink tt abilities?

i guess the attacks will start before 2km to the finish.from what i've seen in stage 2 on that climb, gesink and purito were riding at the front easily,so it will be between them.anyway i expect something from david blanco, vandevelde or fuglsang too.i don't think vino will bother,he'll come after a minute or something.

too bad that we won't have a live coverage:(
