Just logged on to check on the race. Ryan in that group too. How did this happen? They went on a climb and nobody cared?

Why would they need to care about someone 1'30 back in GC? Easy to keep under control with what's yet to come.

Vingegaard should attack with Keldermerckx on his wheel on the penultimate climb, and then see if Wilco has the legs to win today.

Wilco was at least much stronger than Ulissi on the penultimate climb, but I doubt he wins this bike race :(

This stage could have benefited from a couple more times up that steep climb. All GC road stages has had very same-y finishes.

They need to get some cobbles involved! (And the toughest/steepest climbs).

I feel like this is Poland every year, on paper it looks kinda good, but its just too easy usually.
It doesn't look good on paper, you can see that the stages are too easy and basically just uphill sprints.

Between 2014 and 2019 the Bukowina stage was up and down from the start and that was good. Recent years not so much. The problem is that Poland is too flat and cities or towns have to pay to host the start/finish otherwise the race wouldn't be able to sustain itself financially, so that really limits the terrain that can be used for more difficult climbs, of which there are not many in Poland (especially if you're looking for something with good roads and good infrastructure nearby).

I think it's mostly fine for what it is, given the constraints. But it would help a lot if just one of the hilly stages wasn't an uphill sprint.
