Wilco vs Sheffield for the GC unless Nys can surprise tomorrow in the tt?

He can win a few of these stages, it didn't even look close there.

Nys can't TT. ok the TT is a bit uphill but I really doubt he'll play a major role for GC. Can't forget about Vingegaard ofcourse. And Mohoric is always good here. Gregoire also has a mean TT. Sheffield should be favorite to be in yellow after tomorrow tho.

If tactics seem more odd then normal in Poland then it might be because it's one of the UCI's test places for radio restrictions - from the roadbook -
ARTICLE 18. STAGES SELECTED FOR “IN RACE COMMUNICATION” RESTRICTIONS The following stages have been selected to test “in-race communication” restrictions: - Stage 5 / riders are not authorised to use earpieces- Stage 3 and 4 / two riders per team are authorised to use earpieces (those riders will be identified with Yellow bib numbers.
(That could make stage 3 fun as it's one of the "Queen Stages".)

Stage 2's tt has a 25% time cut so some of the bigger guys can sleep easy.

Will it be TT bikes all the way, or road bikes or changes or whatever? Some head scratching for the teams.

(If you're wondering about the Tyrolian alpine style houses, it's because back in 1838 Austrian Protestant refugees were given land by King Fredrick William III )

Nys is becoming one of the best stage hunters in these second tier races. His turn of speed is really impressive.

For GC, I think Visma should take this race either with Vingegaard or Kelderman, Nys will likely lose valuable seconds tomorrow but maybe he can still gain enough seconds on future stages to get into the mix.

Not just turn of speed, he might be a top 5 puncheur in the world at this point. And his range is really impressive, competing from bunch sprints to the not too steep cat 2 MTFs even if it's in some less competitive cat 1 races.

So, like at 0:23 into the video, those fans on the right side of the road, do you think they're switching to a live video stream to see the finish, or the have old fashioned radios, (or do people not have FM radios anymore)? Never really thought about this.

edit: oh wait, is there a public address system along the final climb?
