Stage profiles are even more disappointing with mostly flat finishes, there is one uphill sprint, probably cobbled in Hlohovec(Sta.ge 3).
See profiles below:

Most stages will probably feature fight between Kristoff and Viviani, perhaps stage 2 can provide a strong breakaway that could stay clear. Considering we are a hilly country these profiles are very disappointing.

I like how "Slovakia" in Slovakian is "Slovensko". Like people were not confusing Slovakia with Slovenia anyway.
Yes I know, its like Slovensko=Slovinsko, and flags are nearly identical to make thinks "easier" I would say there is about 50% failure rate when international media mix up athletes from our two countries. Armstrong mentioned Sagan as being Slovenian back in 2010 Tour Down Under for example. I remember we got played Slovenian anthem once on a sporting event etc.

I don't think Viviani will be there, after the European Championship he said that Hamburg and Plouay would have been his last races on the road because he has to ride on the track from october and needs a break.

Why can't they get Sagan to ride this, his homeland Tour? Instead of the two lower-rank Belgian races he will do at the same time.

And what about Roglic, Pogacar and Spilak?

;)
He prefers not to be in Slovakia, he's there only for nationals and couple of days to promote one of the countless products/services he's the face of. Slovakian market isn't the priority for Bora it seems.

very poor/lazy stage design considering the topology of Slovak Rep. shame.

I keep saying this is wasted opportunity, somewhere I heard that organizers didn't want to make the course too hard as it is only few days before Worlds, but then last year was supposed to be hard as a prep for Innsbruck worlds and it wasn't. Profiles from this race before it went big were much better and evenly spread, now everything is concentrated around rich cities of western Slovakia which is flat, only skirting through Tatra mountains midway through stage. There is another problem and that is we have some cracking hills around like 9km @ 8% average, but surface is dire and its used mainly for carrying wood on lorries, council has no money to fix surface and hence no money to attract organizers for stage finish in this growing event. As with everything in Slovakia all is focused on western part and north with south-east,south-central and east is totally forgotten ever since the fall of Austro Hungarian emire before 1st world war, rant over.

Most stages will be contested between Kristoff,Demare and Viviani. The 7.4km time trial might suit Lars Boom as the weather is going to become a problem, quite windy and cold for first days. I reckon the second stage will even see snow in Strbske Pleso (1257m). forecast for Thursday only indicating max temps of +4C there. Might make the race a bit harder at least
