Good first gc result for Sobrero.
Interesting how Carboni always seems to be better in his first stage race after the Giro than during the Giro (see occitanie 2 years ago).
Easy win for Pogi, as expected. With him flying from the UAE Tour until LBL a shorter, easier prep race was probably the right call.

Sobrero is definitely someone to watching the future. He is a very good timetrialistas well.

Yes, he's 177cm tall, only 63kg heavy and great in flat TTs, so I assumed that he should have a pretty good power to weight ratio. In the u23 ranks he won one day races with solo attacks, so his engine seems to be great.

In all of those photos Tour of Slovenia seems to me like an intimate, small, local race, with a picnic-like vibe, where everyone knows each other. I just thought, I'd really like to do this race, especially if I were Slovene :D

Congrats to Pogi on hard-fought victory! The battle with his teammates was exhausting, expecially his monumental effort to lose on Sveta Gora. No TT in this race but he produced one anyway.

This year he won UAE Tour (+1 stage), Tirreno Adriatico (+1 stage), Liege, Tour of Slovenia (+1 stage) and was 3rd at Tour of Basque Country (+1 stage). Arguably the best rider of the first half of the year but the biggest things are still to come.

Past his prime IMO. Couldn't even win a stage in Liege.
