I remember when I was still at the Uni/working in Innsbruck. That said, I liked last year's route with all my training climbs on the final 2 stages better...Funny, when you know all the climbs and all the roads they are riding today...
Start/Finish line is some 150m from my office, and part of the course in Innsbruck is some 50m from my home
Yesterday most of the teams were already doing some easy training rides in and around Innsbruck.
They repeat this climb, finishing with 30km to go (uncategorised, obviously).Stage 1 Today, 20 April Innsbruck and back, 144 km,start 11.55 CET. TV from 13.30 CET (not sure if accurate)

Giro del Tirolo has the issue of not being (totally) accurate. Trent was only annexed into the country of Tirol in the 19th century, and then 100 years later it was part of Italy. I don't think it's culturally or historically right to make it the Giro del Tirolo, especially as it began as a race that was entirely outside of Tyrol. Now that it's fashionable to rename races, I suggest a name change for this one too. Tour of the Alps is meant to sound more international, but the problem is that they only use a small part of the Alps.
Giro del Trentino was a good name, but most people outside of Italy don't know where that region is on a map.
Giro delle Dolomiti is a possibility, but there's already a gran fondo event with that name.
The best solution could be Giro del Tirolo. It sounds catchy, while honouring the Italian roots as well as the Austrian part of the race.
Pozzovivo will need to get away on the final hills here obviously, if memory serves he isn’t the finest sprinter.
He was okay in fairness, he came 2nd in a 5 man sprint once.Pozzovivo will need to get away on the final hills here obviously, if memory serves he isn’t the finest sprinter

Edit: sorry got my numbers mixed up. It was 5th in 2 man sprint.
The remco protocol. Only train your sprintI think he "retired" only to quietly train on his sprint and he is planning to surprise a few people here.

I remember seeing Pozzovivio (and Bardet) doing lead out for a bunch sprint - strange but true!I was actually living in a world thinking he came 7th in a 2 man sprint.
My apologies, I grossly underrated Pozzo's sprinting abilities.
Nosame finish as the worlds?
