Good perfromance by Pellizzari, when he dropped the Ineos guys I thought he would gain more on the climb but he kept something in the tanks for the falseflat and descent, quite intellignet and calculated riding.

Weird that jayco haven't figured out how to get the best from him. They have done a good job with Schmidt and vendrame for instance
O'Connor was a bit better in this race. In saying that, I am not renewing his contract unless he does a top 6 in the Giro.

Gee-wests Giro campaign might look like it's going Gee-south at this point but you have to consider the history of the Tour of the Alps early-peaker, they've all been felled since Nibali won here in 2013, the race is cursed.

Dee Gee-Wee didn't really peak too early last year, although he was also quite lucky that some strong riders abandoned the Giro, but he didn't collapse like Arensman or to a lesser degree Storer.

Nice win by Giulio Pellizzari. Another youngster. Haven't seen his attack but must have been impressive. Looks good for the Giro.
More than the attack itself was the continuity Giulio displayed when the gap to Bernal and Arensman was marginal. At that moment he raised his game enough to break them, even if he had to keep the pressure on almost till the end.
