Looking at the GC, we could end up with almost an entire top 10 where almost none of them have done anything in this race so far. Prominent guys like Rodriguez, Kiservlovski, Nordhaug and Henao could fall out of the top 10, while guys like Peraud, Rui Costa, Mick Rogers and Thomas Danielson (I didn't even know he was racing) could finish in the top 10.

Oh well, as long as Samu wins I'll be happy.

That would be a major disappointment and would certainly support Libertine Seguros complaints about the parcours (not the Samu winning part of course!).

Nope, it will be higher, Meyer's time at first chrono (9,8k) is 14:56, i.e 40km/h. I would guess 43-44km/h for the winner.
That's being optimistic. 41.5 km at the most. Meyer's time might be very good. He's not had to contest much over the past few days?

Meyer looks really strong thogh. Blitzing everyone so far:eek::eek:

But we know from experience that the final riders almost always goes a couple of kilometers faster per hour. But sure, really wet roads could lead to a low km/h time

Clement and Bouet scored good times on intermediate check, i think meyers time will be smoked soon

We will see. This is one course I wouldn't factor the intermediate as much.
Too fast going out might loose you all in the final Ks.

Yes, might be a bit high. 42km/h will mean a finishing time at 27 minutes.
