I hope Pinot wins for game reasons. But boy has he been quiet this season

the beginning of the end for him. totally burned up like the others talents with marc "survival of the fittest" madiot.

Audacious statement. What do you base it on?

What did Pinot had to show by this time last year?
not more than now but you would expect he would pull through after his breakthrough last year and have a blast in the spring as well...

on the fact that madiot has f'd up every talent he ever worked with. even gilbert left the team more dead than alive. I thought this was common knowledge among cycling fans

It takes more than half a season to burn out.

It's simply ridiculous to say that's he's already on his way down just because he hasn't done anything in the first few months of the season.

He had no trouble with the WT level in the Dauphine last year

I dunno, I think finishing 16th at the Dauphine (his major target last year) and winning a race like Settimana Lombarda kind of supports my point; yeah he had 'no trouble' at the Dauphine in the sense that he could keep up with the peloton on the climbs, but 16th, although a fine and promising result, isn't a win or podium. It's not like he's been 'struggling' this year, just anonymous. And I don't expect him to podium on WT races yet, that's all.

he's been send to about every wt race fdjeux was in since he was 19. yes I expect him to burn down like all the other masisve talents fdjeux has had over the years. not saying that is already the case but I have yet to see a talent that survives madiots methods. not even gilbert could. they all go there unfortunately because madiot pays so much salary

You clearly missed that he lost minutes in the crosswinds and the TT. The main point was that he was one of the best climbers in the race.

That's an expectation of yours. A valid one. But a bit early to make the kind of statement Ryo's made.

Don't be a condescending ****, it does not become you. I was talking more about Pinot than Madiot. Gilbert turned out just fine, no? Pinot is still very young, he could go to another team in the future as well. Very premature to deem his career over before it even really began.

who do Rabo go for today?

Well, since we're talking about Rabo here I'd say all tactics go out the window and they go for whoever has more in the tank and is left after the last climb. If that rider wins they will say that was their plan all along in the post-race comments :p
