Euskaltel setting up the SANCHEZ attack. Maybe he'll try something on the descent. If not it's still a good move with Anton that creates pressure on the other contenders.

which is a perfectly logical decisions since that lost time only cost him a TA win. ;)

using your own logic on etna contador attacked and since only scarponi tried to follow he was the only one to get dropped, because the others "didn't bother" to respond

Ah, the classic Euskaltel tandem attack. Mostly good tactics (cfr. Bilbao and Cotobello). At the very least it offers the opportunity to Verdugo to show once more he's undoubtedly one of the best domestiques around.

So it looks the Greenedge pair, Astana, Movistar, Liquigas and Lampre group have a minute on the EE pair (Anton and someone) +company?

Just trying to make sense of the situation

horner and kreuziger were the strongest. but kreuziger rode only on horners wheel. it was kreuzigers arrogance thinking he could beta nibali in the timetrial and it's not as if everyone here was convinced either of niabli winning via timetrial.

any source for such claims either then your dislike of nibali? because the stage results and overall results disagree with what you are saying, even more so if we take into account all the other GC relevant stages of TA

the one where nibali attacked with roughly 1 k to go and sagan "bridged" across taking every1 on his wheel and beating nibali in the sprint which caused some controversy?

Rank Name Nationality Team Result
1 Peter SAGAN SVK LIQ 7:24:50
2 Roman KREUZIGER CZE AST +0
3 Vincenzo NIBALI ITA LIQ +0
4 Danilo DI LUCA ITA ASA +0
5 Christopher HORNER USA RNT +0

ya they were so much stronger there . . .

p.s. it's funny to be accused of fanboying by some1 like you lol had rujano been in nibali's place in TA and you would most likely still be praising it as the most impressive attack in the history of cycling . . .

also why am i being called a fanboy for using actual facts (results) to support a point while so far you haven't presented a single proof to your claims?

I said they were better. not much stronger. yes they were better. kreuziger could sitll follow sagan and horner did the forcing there.

but this discussion is pointless anyway.

Said it last year and I will say it again, Basque crowds are the best (considering the size of the race, weather, time of the year, population density)! And this race almost didn't happen.

yes it's fantastic. they are crazy about cycling.

it seems like we actually agree on something  the crowds alone are enough to make this race one of my favorite ones.
