Gerrans got 22nd and he's tipped a great favourite for amstel though ;)

Except that he isn't. He might even score another third but is never gonna win. Henao showed he can bid for the win.

What's the reason of Madrazo wearing glasses even in post race interview? He doesn't wear them in the race I hope?

yeah but in al seriousness how can you still shout nordhaug like a fanboy when henao si clearly better?

Why would you even make one of them team leader, a perfect waste of a good rider. It's not like any of them are favorites and need a whole team riding for them.

So, Tony Martin is now the second greatest climber in the world?
Purito unbeatable on 20%
Henao looked good...............for a bit.
Poels looked in agony in the last 100 metres.
Horner looked his age..............well, almost.

Samu v Der Diesel for the overall.
Half a dozen scrapping for the bottom podium step.

Oh and hats off to GreenEdge for a nice tactical attempt.
Certainly livened proceedings up.

well, if it is true that Nordhaug got allergies, i would say it is mighty impressive
IT RAINED SO NO ALLERGIES

(sorry, had to use capitals since nobody seems to get this). I have allergies myself and when it rains you have 0 trouble with this.

Good post, with three decent riders like Henao, Uran and Nordhaug, you should be able to mark most moves that look good as long as they have the legs. Only chance Sky has making a podiumin the ardennes, IMO.

i understand that a cyclist needs to be carefull with his upperbody, canc is skinny.. but tony's shoulders are really close to each other, just like andy. seriously.

then look at lance, gilbert, tom, stannard, greipel.. all big ciclists with upperbody muscle and different talents/abilities..

but ulrich was similar to tony right? and he could climb very well. why can't tony? i believe that tony is the kind of guy that needs wiggins' diet in order to climb.

Horner said "right now" as "in the moment" when he took over minute on the Sierra Road. 5K at 10%.

A moment of exurberance, if a little boastful. He was pretty good that day, maybe the best he's ever been, but the field was weak compare to this race.

No Sierra road at the Cali this year. Horner's chances are slim.

This statement was repeated in a magazine interview/article. There was no just-after-the-race-adrenalin-rush that fueled his statements this particular time. Still he is hitting heights that he hadn't before. He's doing quite well.

the reason Ullrich could climb so well with his weight, is the same as it was for Riis (not im the same degree, but still)

Another climb like yesteday and Horner would be good.

A very fast climb at low % grade today. A Cat.1....not. Just a custom finish for J-Rod. We will see how TT shakes it out. Martin on top for sure.
