Now that OGE have stupidly decided not to offer all their money for the transfer season to Porte, they should focus on buying Uran/ Henao- one might come for cash. It would give OGE a good chance in GT stages, Ardennes (super strong squad of Albasini, Clarke, Gerro, Weening...) and maybe even the Vuelta.

They should sign Gesink (Yes, Robert Gesink) as Blanco will probably fold. He will prosper in a fresh environment and I think he would fit there with his mentality.

Now that Euskaltel are bringing in non-Basques, I would like to see Uran and Henao go there. With Sammy getting older, they'd get to lead more of the races they want. I doubt if Euskaltel could afford them though. :(

Gesink should go to SKY imo, he likes numbers, SRM meters and stuff like that + he is a time trialing climber. Gesink trains like a beast and thats another fit for SKY's training programms and at SKY they actually know what Gesink should do exactly in training.

At Sky he'll just be another Cataldo or Sivtsov. I don't know if he's still that motivated, let alone for a role as a domestique.

If Porte rides at Greenedge the way he rides at Sky, he'd be a good signing, but I think it's a risk, and how much do you pay for that risk. Although the guys mentioned as support riders can climb, they aren't really domestiques, they are stage hunters and are at their best out of a break, making them nurse Richie would be a waste. So you'd then have to fork out for some guenuine mountain domestiques=expensive signing.
On the Colombians...Would they feel more at home on a spanish/spanish speaking team? I think Henao is the bigger talent, but while Froome, Wiggins, Porte are at Sky I can't see them getting many opportunities to lead.
There are a couple of WT teams that have a large second country contigent, Katusha are Russian/Spanish, Astana are Kazakh/Italian, Could the colombians find a team to buddy up with? OPQS, Blanco, Greenedge, all are weak climbing, a long term partnership with colombian cycling may not be a bad thing, but they risk losing their identity.
I'm looking forward to what Chaves can do this year after his performance in Burgos last year. Any news on his recovery?

wait tell me more...i am Colombian so i dream henao/uran in an all Colombian team!!!

trhere are rumors of a very big team in colombia(uran hinted at it in a recent interview), they would sign some of the biggest colombian names, but they are rumors, and in colombia I have to see it first. corti's projhect is pretty much dead. he will be fired after the giro

they are rumors in colombia. reports in papers about corti trying to set this up. but the federation doesn't want corti anymore unless he basically wins the giro, he'll get fired so he now tries companies there. but any company with brains will not use corti though. problem is though to get companies motivated to do this. there are big companies but sports sponsoring on an international big level is hard to pull of.

Transfer rumours from Gazzeta dello Sport:

Diego Ulissi -> BMC;
Enrico Battaglin -> Sky or Cannondale;
Fabio Felline -> Cannondale or Omega Pharma-Quickstep;
Giovanni Visconti -> Vini Fantini;
Oscar Gatto -> Omega Pharma-Quickstep, IAM or Cannondale.

Hope a couple of those >Cannondale rumors are true. Especially Battaglin and Felline, they could do very well there. And Cannondale needs to bring in some young talent. If Sagan is staying, Gatto could be a very good edition to the team to help him out in the classics.

Indeed.

Why would Visconti go back to Conti-level?

He was doing a good job with Vini in the Italian classics. Now with Moviestar he comes a bit too short to play his card it seems.

So it wouldn't be that stupid to go back to Vini Fantini as a team leader. Especially if Gatto is leaving them. Also Vini Fantini should get more invites to big races next year, if they continue to perform that well and could also strike Visconti.

Dunno, but Vini Fantini might have a lot of their talent cleared out next year. Santambrogio, Gatto and Rabottini could all get WT contracts, Di Luca I presume will not hang about, Garzelli must retire soon... and Visconti is pretty low in the pecking order at MOV although he seems to have a free role at the Giro.

Vini have no aspirations to get to WT level? I don't have the foggiest about their funding level, but with Shack and Blanco (Vacansoleil too?) maybe disappearing, might they be interested in getting a couple of signings and trying to get a WT spot? or is that not realistic at all?

Cost of WT over ProConti is pretty prohibitive, and at the moment they're able to get invites to every race they want to and have been in that position for the last five years, originally with Visconti, then with Pozzato, and now with Gatto in classics, Chicchi in flat races, and Garzelli/di Luca/Santambrogio in stage races. I'm sure they can buy in a couple of decent sized Italian names with enough name recognition to continue that even if some of them leave.

I think PCT cycling is even a cheap issue for the company Vini Fantini. Their top riders will get a huge part of their salaries by personal sponsors. It´s similar to Androni.

Best example is my man Rohregger of RadioShack, who seems to get really 100% of his salary by private Austrian sponsor Tirol Werbung. Otherwise, he woudn´t be on the team, certainly.

They're interested in Felline and Battaglin.

According to Beppe Conti, both Cannondale and Lampre are impressed with Aru and they'll try to get him for next year.

Italian sponsors who pitch at an Italian market in Italian races. Makes good sense.

Why would they want to race the Tour of Bejing or California?
