If Porte rides at Greenedge the way he rides at Sky, he'd be a good signing, but I think it's a risk, and how much do you pay for that risk. Although the guys mentioned as support riders can climb, they aren't really domestiques, they are stage hunters and are at their best out of a break, making them nurse Richie would be a waste. So you'd then have to fork out for some guenuine mountain domestiques=expensive signing.
On the Colombians...Would they feel more at home on a spanish/spanish speaking team? I think Henao is the bigger talent, but while Froome, Wiggins, Porte are at Sky I can't see them getting many opportunities to lead.
There are a couple of WT teams that have a large second country contigent, Katusha are Russian/Spanish, Astana are Kazakh/Italian, Could the colombians find a team to buddy up with? OPQS, Blanco, Greenedge, all are weak climbing, a long term partnership with colombian cycling may not be a bad thing, but they risk losing their identity.
I'm looking forward to what Chaves can do this year after his performance in Burgos last year. Any news on his recovery?
