I base my opinion on return on investment, the return here is exposure (I think most agree with that), and Contador while once unbeatable is now ranked where i rank him,

Wrong.
Come on, you complain Contador´s lack of CQ points but still rank him lower than Wiggins who has got how many points this year? 30, 50? And Kreuziger and Porte who are basically domestiques and havent achieved anything GC wise? And Rodriquez and Valverde who both lost to Contador last year Vuelta and who bot are older than Contador?

In terms of value I base things on return on investment. I did say I wouldn't pay Wiggins, Kreuziger, or Porte as much as Contador did I not? Ah yes here it is.

BTW I certainly wouldn't pay Wiggins, Uran, Kreuziger, Porte or Quintana what I'd pay Contador. I'd pay Froome more and it's debateable who'd I'd give more from Rodriguez, Valverde, Nibali and Contador.

My stars ranking is in relation to a hypothetical 2014 Tour. Ie They all train to find their best form from 2012 and 2013, and lead teams. I'd expect Froome to win, my **** riders to fight for 2nd, my *** to aim for the podium and finish in the top 10. If you'd tip Contador over all of them, I can understand that, he had the form in 2009, so why not?

Froome is reportdely contracted through to 2016 for 3 million euro per year, Contador is contracted through to 2015 for 4.5 million euro per year. I know who I'd prefer to have. I don't know how long Riis will be happy paying 4.5 million to someone who doesn't win the Tour.

So what would it take for Riis to let Contador go...not much I don't think. What would it take to coax Contador onto another team...a situation that makes up for at least 1.5 million a year as I can't see anyone topping 3 million a year for him.

good move for both parties, Montfort is quite consistent rider, will get his chances in smaller stage races
He could very well lead the team in P-N and be captain in a GT (Vuelta).

The complete programme has yet to be discussed, but I'll be a protected rider in short stage races and Grand Tours like Giro or Vuelta. In the Tour I'm prepared to work for Jurgen Van den Broeck who has already proven to have chances for a podium place.

I still cannot see it in this way and I do not think that hypothetical DS or team owner think in this way. Yes, Contador had a bad year, yes, we can speculate is this a start of natural decline or just setback, but many riders you list have same or vene larger dounts over them? Valverde, won GC 4 years ago (and sorry, Vuelta is weakest of all three), older than Contador, has never been best climber or TT-er. . Wiggins, older than Contador, even worse year, has couple of clera weaknesses (descending, bad weather) and his last interviews does not how motivation or confidence? Rodriguez, older, has become more stable, but his TT is still weakness (despite improvements) and does not possess clear advantage, okey he can sprint uphill and get stage wins and bonus seconds but in Tour these things count less. Kreuziger, domestique, had good Tour, but have failed always when given leaders role, is not and has never been best climber or TT-er. Porte, domestique, unproven as leader, was very good in couple of climbs in this Tour, but also faded in some other stages.
Overall, at present moment I would rate Froome higher, maybe also Nibali and Quintana (because of his youth and potential), but Contador comes right after them.

Porte
Deignan
Dombrowski
Edmonson
Lopez
Knees
Puccio
?
?

That would be good/ can still have enough support at the TDF for Froome
Froome
Wiggins
Porte
Henao
The two belorussians
Stannard
Thomas
EBH

Of course my selection is theoretical- Edmonson may not ride his first GT at the Giro/ Lopez might be needed at the TDF/ I have forgotten who else is transferring to Sky.

You forgot Cataldo and Kennaugh. Will be more like this.
Porte
Henao
Cataldo
Dombrovski
D.Lopez
Deignan
Puccio
Knees
?

Froome
Porte or Henao
Kennaugh
Wigginis
Kiry
Siutsou
Boasson Hagen
Thomas
Stannard

Also maybe JTL will find his 2012 legs back and will ride Giro.

Dont think Wiggins is going to ride the Tour. And stannard might be leaving.

I think they'll give Froome a much higher priority than Porte compared to what they did with this year with Froome-Wiggo, where Wiggo got many of their best guys in support for the giro.
Porte
Lopez
Deignan
JTL(maybe)
Dombrovski
Zandio
Knees
Puccio
Pate

Froome
Henao
Cataldo
Kennaugh
Kiry
Wiggo
Thomas
Stannard
Hagen

Even if he looses Porte as we know him Froome will get scary support in the Tour, and Porte's giro team can potentially act as a breeding ground for future key members of team Froome.

Tyler Farrar's still looking for a deal. If anything he could probably do a decent leadout for somebody.

I see him more as a road captain kind of exsprinter, he could possibly become a good leadout an, but only Cavendish, Sagan and Kittel have the starpower necessary to make a signing of a big name like Farrar seem worth the exspence.
Sagan could really do with some more support in some classics and sprints, but i doubt Cannondale sees it that way. Cav has all the help he needs you can only bring nine riders to the tour. Argos haven't got the economy to sign Farrar as a leadout, and i think they prefer to use some of their young guns as leadout for Kittel.

But Farrar himself might not be ready to become en exsprinter yet, he might prefer to sprint on, even if it means prokonti and smaller salary.

Good point about Cannondale. That makes quite a bit of sense with the American sponsor of course.

If Sky have any sense then they'll send Kiryienka to the Giro. He's a Giro rider who performs best in horrible weather conditions (see Spring races this year and past Giro performances) versus his underwhelming Tour performances (this year and previous). Also Cataldo being Italian will ride the Giro. Froome's core group of helpers will most likely be Henao, Kennaugh and Siutsou next year.
