If they did join IAM Cycling it would be hard to see the Tour refuse a Wildcard to a team involving the Schlecks

So Wiggins, Schlecks, Uran still haven't signed for 2014. That's a half a team right there. Give the Giro to the Schleck's, Uran as Superdom, Tour to Wiggo, Shleck's as superdoms and Vuelta to Uran, Wiggo as superdom. I'd probably say 6 million euro for all 4. :D

Any takers?

If Andy regain his former level is a far better rider than Wiggo.

That's a big IF. From Andy's riding it seem the passion for racing is not there, sure he was hurt and all that but, other riders who still want to race, well race and it doesn't matter which race. Andy's cherry picked only top races but he can't compete (yet). If he wants to get back he needs to race pretty much anything to get back on track. Not saying he's not back on track but definitely off the track.

Andy's on a downward spiral still, needs that key win to get the spark back.

There are also reports that they are interested in Andy for 2014, but I thought Nibali was supposed to be Tour leader for 2014

Astana is part of MPCC. So either the team dumps MPCC or stay clear of Frank.
With all due respect, Astana being part of MPCC doesn't work wonders for that organisation's credibility. So them leaving might be the best for both parties.

Well imagine you have the situation of yesterday, with an in form Andy Schleck and Nibali surrounding Chris Froome also...

Teams are going to need alot of firepower to defeat Sky in 2014. Unless they sign Schleck for the Giro ...

They are only a provisional member or something, so it just means they will not get full membership status.

I think there were just 2 option for Frank: Astana and Saxo
so Astana it is.
anyway I hope the brothers doesn't end up there in 2014, or at least not Andy. Nibali is the leader there, he wants the Tour, and Andy doesn't give a rats about the Giro.

I can imagine a situation of Nibali and the Schleck brothers attacking Froome one after another.

It needs to happen.

Fränk being Nibali's domestique at the Vuelta sounds good, there is only one problem - Andy. If he continues to improve or to keep this level that he showed yesterday, he will be a serious contender for the top-5 or even the podium at the Vuelta. Nibali will be one of the absolute favourites for the win. So it is very likely that Fränk would have to actively ride against his brother, i.e. chase him down or prevent him from attacking, etc. That will never happen though.

It could also be though that Andy decides not to do the Vuelta, since he already has a lot of race days this season, and doing the Vuelta might be overdoing it. Instead he could do the American races, Beijing, etc. Plus RadioShack can build a more than decent team for the Vuelta without Andy, with Horner, Cancellara, Devolder, Monfort, etc.

If Fränk is really in as good a shape as he says he is (which I believe), he could be a serious asset for Nibali. Plus he could be a serious contender for Il Lombardia, the new route suits him perfectly and he will be fresher than anyone else :D

Astana says they will not employ Frank and wants to stay a member of the MPCC and follow the guidelines.

aside from astana already denying the story, i doubt that nibali wants the schlecks in his team. there is actually only one realistic option: BMC
rihs has the cash, evans wants to end his career next year, tjvg hasnt lived up to the hype in 2013.
lefevre just likes to talk a lot and i doubt that the budget is as big as his mouth, and cavendish didnt leave sky to share a team with 2 tdf gc contenders.
euskaltel and cannondale dont have the cash, the schlecks going back to riis is even more doubtful, movistar & sky enough gc talent already.
and for the rest: if even the vino boys are not breaking the mpcc agreement, the other teams wont.

Tinkov wants three to five russians on the team for next year. One of them will be Ivan Rovny.

I'm afraid some of the danes will be on the way out.

Shalunov should be on Tinkov's radar as well. Seems like a big talent, although I guess he could be another Zakarin/Novikov.

Another one that comes to mind is Firsanov. He was awesome last year, but seems to have cooled down. Maybe Tinkoff can get him back on top?
