good. now let's just hope for a difficult volta route.
I hope for a really hard Volta route with Senhora da Graça and Torre both early in the race and then a really awful, tame ending with maybe an intermediate stage (Monte Assunção/Santa Luzia/Gouveia or something?) and a terrible, terrible flat parade to finish.
I would dislike such a route, I would hate it so much. But it would likely eliminate Rui freaking Sousa from contention, and a crappy last couple of days is probably the only way Hernâni Brôco will ever win A Volta, sadly, as his recovery just seems too weak for 11 days and he always tanks in the last GC stage.
To be fair, if they were going to go with such an idea, and if they really wanted to do the Lisboa sprint finish that thankfully it looks like they're moving away from, I think it would have to be either Montejunto or - this would be so cool - Palácio Nacional de Pena on the penultimate day. Really though, the final weekend should be Torre & TT.
