I imagine they could end up even with more guys like these if they wanted to have a full roster. Let's say they would have Rathe+Haas+Maaskant instead of Slagter or Langeveld.

Daniel Klemme (GER/Leopard Trek CT) to Synergy Baku Cycling Project.

I am a bit surprised about this, thought he would maybe go to Team Stuttgart or a German amateur team, but this seems like a good opportunity if he can fit in. This was his first season at Continental level. Had no results for most of the season, but then two wins in the Tour of China I & II and 2nd overall in ToC II. If he can repeat those successes with Synergy Baku, he should ramp up the UCI Points fast and become interesting for ProConti or WT! He is the brother of Dominic Klemme.

I see what you mean, but why then do they prefer Raymond Kreder over Jacob Rathe? They're both fairly unspectacular, but at least Rathe is American.

LLS just got paid 1.6 million. Money shouldn't be an issue, he needs a team for next year. Maybe he is still negotiating with a WT team so unwilling to sign yet with Caja.

it has nothing to do with clinic issues, but simply with money and that he wants a 2 year contract, everyone knows horner will never do as well as he did in this years vuelta again, mayeb next years vuelta but there will probably be a better field

Kreder had plenty of top10 finishes in the past two years. Even if he didn't do anything extraordinary, his results are quite a bit better than Rathe's.

It will be tough to ramp up the wins without Modolo, but hopefully a couple of the youngsters will get a win or two.

Likely to come down to a battle between Yellow Fluo and Colombia. If Quintana does ride the Giro then you'd imagine it becomes much less attractive for the Giro organisers to invite Colombia.

Drapac beefing up nicely now. No excuse at all for not dominating the Asian Tour with that squad. Will be interesting to see how they go at the TDU. Cantwell, Sulzberger, Meyer, Davison, Cooke, Crawford and Palmer is solid for a Pro Conti squad, especially outside of Europe.

There aren't many strong Pro Conti teams. They are going to have to give one to MTN/NetApp/IAM/Colombia/Caja Rural. It's likely that NetApp and IAM will do the Tour so no go there. Colombia have not shown anything other than an ability to be a joke of a team. So yeh, hope for Caja Rural (who probably don't even want to do it) but MTN is understandable.

Colombia made an ok showing at this years Giro, didn't set the race alight but they sure did more than a few other teams. I'd have no problem with them being invited again. IAM might be a better choice though.
