Indurain senior rode with the team when it was Reynolds, so maybe their assuming that the current set up would want to have Indurain junior as well, and would have a step up on other team due to Indurain riding with Reynolds.

I'm sure there are probably a number of teams keeping on eye on him just because he is the son of Indurain though.
Indurain senior also had this big falling-out with Banesto though.

Rumour has it that Scott Sunderland from the Cellarbrations NRS squad has also tabled an "attractive" offer :D:D

Cyclingtips.com.au said:
And in what must be described as an audacious move, one of the smallest Australian NRS teams, the Cellarbrations Racing Team (coached by Scott Sunderland), has made an official pitch for Sammy Sanchez.

The team media release reveals that no riders on the team receive a salary and that Sanchez would have to be willing to take a “significant — if not total — pay cut”. But on the plus side, the release continues, Sanchez could be attracted by the “lure of the superb Australian lifestyle.”

Thibaut Pinot extends with FDJ.fr till 2016 (?)

Equipe FDJ.fr@EquipeFDJ

I can't understand it very well, but I imagine he extended his contract, since his ''current'' one is only till 2014.

Juan Jose Oroz and Pablo Urtasun, both ex-Euskaltel-Euskadi riders, signed for Chilean Continental team PinoRoad. They are joined by Equipo Euskadi (former Orbea) youngster Mikel Bizkarra and Salvador Guardiola from Murcia, who rode for Differdange before. These four riders make up the Spanish part of the team, the rest of the team consists of mostly young and hopefully talented Chilean riders (see full roster here: http://www.pinoroad.cl/lanzamiento/pinoroad-en/). They are setting up a base in Spain, so I expect them to see in a lot of Spanish and maybe Portuguese races, as these events can use some new teams to fill the race.

Interesting project for sure.

This is a pretty cool project. I'm guessing we'll see them in most of the remainder of the Spanish calendar and a few French races, like 4-72 Colombia last year.

Leopard Trek Continental Team might continue next season after all. While it seemed certain that the team would disband, seeing that Trek Factory Racing would not continue the sponsorship, several sources now indicate that the team might continue to exist, albeit on a smaller scale.

Flavio Becca has promised to continue supporting young Luxembourg talents: "It's still too early to say something about the future of the Continental Team", he said in a recent interview. "I will see to continue my support of young Luxembourg riders".

According to informations of Tageblatt, there will be no new material, instead they will continue to use the material from last season. This way, the survival of the team could be assured for another year. They also need a new sports director, since Adriano Baffi has been integrated to Trek Factory Racing. Sources say that talks have been held with former Cofidis pro Tom Flammang to fill this role.

All Luxembourg riders, except for Tom Thill, should continue with the team.

In a recent interview with radsport-news.de, Alex Kirsch said he could not unveil his team for next season yet, but that it would be "a U23 tream". I was starting to believe that whatever deal he was talking about must have fallen through, since there was still no announcement this late in the season. But this could explain it.

This only means something for those who follow Portuguese Cycling

Vitor Gamito (44 years old:eek:) has signed for LA Antarte, and he'll race next year's Volta a Portugal.

14 years after winning the Volta, and 10 years after retiring.

He has been racing (and winning) a lot of BTT races in recent years, but it still seems far fetched to me.

It's ridiculous, specially when there are lots of decent riders in the market and youngsters who won't get a team. He'll have lots of publicity, specially in the Volta a Portugal, and that's all that matters for the team.

At least, there is some hope for Chris to return in a year or two.;)
