I honestly don´t think AC have much to say about Sagan, if Oleg want´s Sagan and Sagan want´s to sign a contract, then AC can shout as much as he likes, Oleg will sign him, without a doubt.
Oleg dont strike me as the kind of person who asks permission, no matter who it is.. If he want´s Sagan, the contract is signed.

If Sagan want to of course, but if the check is big enough, he wont say no.

Correct, but Tinkoff seems very happy with Contador until now.
Of course things could change in August.

Yesterday or day before Alberto Contador was invited from his clothing sponsor Sportful for a factory visit and some media time; he said that he's planning to do a Continental team with his own name, just like he did with the junior team.

Then he asked to some journalist "what about Alonso? Is he doing the team?" and nobody could answer, some said that Alonso/Bettini aren't contacting any rider in the past weeks and this could mean only 1 thing.

The potential Dubai sponsor fell through. Project over probably.

According to Beppe Conti, Team Sky did a big offer to Aru (Astana) which he can't refuse.

if true, this means Richie Porte is done as a GT leader for the future, at least for the Giro :)

edit: also this means Wiggins and/or EBH are gone in 2015. Or they could stay but on a much lower paycheck.

EBH is said to be close to signing for BMC

snipped..

Lets wait and see if Ritchie can get his software upgraded in time for the Tour before writing him off.

:D

I hope Aru accepts the pay check and signs with Sky.

Porte has a contract with Sky until 2015, then he'll leave to be a team leader (maybe to Orica)

We should probably do a whip around for him. Everyone chuck in a fiver and we'll buy him a lifesize cardboard cut out of Vino to cheer him up.

Yup, Richard Moore (British journalist) says an agreement has already been reached for EBH to join BMC.

Aru will be Porte's super domestique at next year's Giro then if all goes to plan.

Sky need an Italian GC rider/climber (Cataldo will leave imo) so it does make some sense.

As you say, EBH will leave and Wiggins will probably return on a reduced contract.

Why do you think Cataldo will leave? He's getting a chance to show his worth as a leader at the giro, but doubt he will show enough to demand more opportunities at Sky or elsewhere.

Because I don't think Sky are impressed with his performances. He was great on Prati Di Tivo in last year's Tirreno and he had a nice result recently at Coppi e Bartali but outside of that he's shown very little. There will be teams interested in him but he obviously can't demand a big contract or leadership.

Cataldo will be getting his chance to show them the goods this Giro. Let's see how he goes.

Not sure how I feel about the possibility of Aru to Sky. Would rather not see another talented young rider turned into a domestique.

Possibly not though, I can see Porte moving on from Sky in another year or two, especially if he has such a bad campaign as this one which forced him to abandon his goal (Giro). Aru would have a year to settle in then perhaps fight for the leader spot in 2016.

Wiggins performance in PR this year and his attitude in getting himself into decent shape will give him a final year with the road team, he will then focus on the track in 2016 for Rio which will free up a lot of budget, especially with EBH probably going too.

You better not start calling Aru a traitor just yet, there's still a big chance he stays on Vino's side. Sky is not the right career path for him, and I hope he realises.

If he wants to win a GT, he has the best chance at Sky. If he then wants to be finished for his entire career, it's also the perfect choice ;)

I still belive in my boy Fabio, but you'll never know what can wreck a young boy's soul these dark times.
