Is that three additional Pro-Conti teams announced for next year so far?

1) Nippo-Vini Fantini
2) Cult Energy
3) Roompot - Orange

It was pretty easy for Pro-Conti teams to secure wild cards to races this year so it's logical that we see Continental teams wanting to step up (and a new team in the case of Roompot).

There were only 17 PCT teams this year so it's only normal for more conti teams to step up.

One other question is what PCT teams will apply for WT (IAM, Cofidis...) now that a spot will be free with the merger of Garmin and Cannondale.

They don't need to apply. Both these two squads aren't good enough to compete all round year in WT, but still they get races they want no problems via wildcards. Going WT is costly.

IAM said they are definitely not going to WT this year . Cofidis maybe, they got the money I guess. Not greatest team, but hey, Europcar is not much better.

Not if they close down which seems a pretty realistic scenario after the Rambo crash.

They are signing new riders for next year so it is highly unlikely they will close. Plus with the certainty of participating in the giro it will be easy to find a pro-conti level sponsor even if Neri steps out.

Martin I doubt as he was kicked out of the BC Academy for being 60kg and useless on the track. The Yates twins are targets for 2016.

Is that what happened to Dan Martin?, I understood there was some kind of conflict between Dan and British Cycling.

Btw well done today Dan Martin.

Giant-Alpecin signs 25 year-old Carter Jones (USA/Optum). He won Tour of the Gila this year, came in 7th in Utah, 8th in Colorado and 11th in California

http://www.radsport-news.com/sport/sportnews_90008.htm

He is a good rider for GCs, but we don't know what he can do in races thar are not in usa.I think that giant is a good team for him, appart from barguil, dumoulin and crawddock they dont have a lot of riders for one week races.

Yes Carter Jones looks a good prospect, would of thought Sky may have been interested though.

Good signing, Giant now got some nice riders to target the USA stage races. Craddock, Dumoulin, now Carter and don't forget Daan Olivier.

Nooo... Carter... why Giant. :(

I was hoping Garmin or BMC or LOTTOnl or... :(

Why not? Every decent young climber going to Giant is fresh air. Maybe Garmin would keep him in the US, BMC would bury him. Lotto would be just as fine, though.

Maybe old news, but Winner Anacona leaves Lampre to Movistar, officially.
Training partner of Nairo. Nairo now has Dayer and Winner with him.
I doubt Dayer will be at the Tour, but he will be with him at the other races.

A small team of at least 4-5 movistar riders will be training in Colombia this year :)

There is a rumor that Fabio Duarte will join Lampre, btw.

So again more than 25 riders for Movistar? Unless someone like Capecchi or Amador would leave the ship, can't really see that happening.

They are 26 now and I'm pretty sure they want to keep Gutiérrez as well. 27 riders again.
