It looks like Swift will leave Sky for Lampre.**** it i was hoping they get rid of Viviani instead :( Teams are trying to sign J.Rod for his WT points

Not surprised he's leaving DVP, Fenn and Doull can do the same job for Viviani at less of a price. Should do good work for Modolo though.

Well,i would still have kept Swift and get rid of Viviani.Swift is a team player, more useful for Sky usual tactics and on different type of races.DVP looks good enough to take Viviani place anyway.Fenn was suppose to leave,i think i read about it somewhere.

Interesting. You can imagine how gutted someone like Konig will be with losing a potential top 5 in the Vuelta, assuming he hadn't already signed for someone. Those points would have been very valuable on the market. Also Sky must have re-signed Henao just in time before the Chinese bought Lampre otherwise his points would have been very significant in deciding the world tour places.

I'm pleased for Swift. He's had a lot of bad luck and deserves a break.

Did Contador actually sign his contract with @TrekSegafredo? Rumors from the Vuelta say he is talking to Movistar and Bahrain.

He's looked cozy with Quintana the last few days
If he'd go to Bahrain that would become by far my favorite team despite the dodgy prince
But - Berto!! Lampre has juicy Chinese money - come on!!! :)

Really, how would that team dynamic work with Contador, Quintana and Valverde, not sure Contador would be that happy in that scenario ? If it worked that would be one formidable team.

I can't see the combo Valverde-Contador working either. Quintana and Contador on the other hand i would love to see, Contador could be a essential factor for Quintana, as he can convey his aggressive racestyle on Nairo.

Every time Contador is out of contract over the years, Valverde talks about loving to race with him and wanting to ride together. I don't see a problem.

Contador going to Movistar is essentially the spaniard claiming he can't win the TDF, which goes against what he said about his goal for his next 2 seasons.

Bahrain team seems more likely at this point... though I'd rather have him at Katusha, don't know why though :p

Honestly though shouldn't Lampre be after him for his WT points? There are not a lot of good riders left on the market. They showed interest earlier and they have the cash now, they could even throw 5mln at him. Come on Berto, make my dream come true :) (ok, ultimate dream would be Berto at Bardiani or riding with his young boys at ProConti level, but that's not going to happen, obviously)

Yet, Valverde always seem to wheel suck the crap out of Alberto and make life as tough on him as he possible can and rub it in when he is better to show who the best Spaniard is - at least that has been the pattern lately.

It would defo be interesting, but I really doubt it.

Well, when a reporter asks him about it he can't really answer "errr no thanks, I'd rather not be on one team with him"

He can answer "I do what the team tells me" or any of the other non controversial stock answers to that common question

No. Under normal circumstances---i.e. staying within the best 16 teams on the WT ranking---they won't need to buy points.

Well, apparently not, unless you have inside info?

I remember reading all WT licenses will be void after this season. 18 teams are vying for 17 licenses so one will lose out. ATM it looks like it will be between Lampre, Dimension Data and possibly Bora.
