There were rumors Bahrain would get Merida and several of Lampre's biggest riders on board, which would force Lampre down to ProConti

He already proved he could do that. Tdf 2014: 2 stages, TdF 2015: 1 stage (and the only for Tinkoff - nor Alberto nor Peter). Especially obne stage on TdF2014 was really impressive and that was the day after Contador quit.

He already proved he could do that. Tdf 2014: 2 stages, TdF 2015: 1 stage (and the only for Tinkoff - nor Alberto nor Peter). Especially obne stage on TdF2014 was really impressive and that was the day after Contador quit.

Yeah, when he's far back, he's willing to take some risks to go for a stage. But when riding for GC, he is one of the most passive riders. Perhaps he is just always on his limit, but I find that hard to believe. I'm not asking for him to go balls out for a stage win while he's top 5 on GC, but at least he could shake the tree a bit to see what the other GC contenders are like.

Yeah but 3rd at the Vuelta or 4th at the giro or 5th at the tout? I prefer Bardet, Kruijswijk and TJ easily. I think their results are worth more.

Denk also says Classics will be a objective. So the Sagan rumor is getting more likely.

I've been following him since he completed his first Hells 500 epic (I'm Hells Crew) in 2013 and then he went on and did this http://theclimbingcyclist.com/interview-brendan-canty-winner-of-the-2013-stratford-dargo/ which started to show people the kid had talent. Didn't take to long for him to move up the ranks
